Westminster Children's Hospital

The Gordon Hospital is a 55-bed acute adult mental health hospital located in Westminster, London. It is managed by the Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust.

Vincent Square is a grass-covered square in Westminster, London, England, covering 13 acres, lined with mature trees including London Planes. In among a network of backstreets, it chiefly provides playing fields for Westminster School, who own it absolutely; otherwise, it functions as a green lung and a view for the homes, hotel and other organisations adjoining. Nine of its adjoining buildings have been given strict statutory architectural recognition and protection.

Lillington Gardens is an estate in the Pimlico area of the City of Westminster, London, constructed in phases between 1961 and 1971 to a plan by Roger Westman and Darbourne & Darke. The estate was formerly owned and managed by CityWest Homes. The estate was among the last of the high-density public housing schemes built in London during the postwar period, and is referred to as one of the most distinguished. Notably, seven years before the Ronan Point disaster ended the dominance of the tower block, Lillington Gardens looked ahead to a new standard that achieved high housing density within a medium rather than high-rise structure. It emphasised individuality in the grouping of dwellings, and provided for private gardens at ground and roof levels. The estate's high build quality, and particularly the planted gardens of its wide "roof streets", blend sympathetically with the surrounding Victorian terraces. The estate's high quality design was acknowledged by a Housing Design Award (1961), Ministry of Housing and Local Government Award for Good Design (1970), RIBA Award (1970) and RIBA Commendation (1973). Nikolaus Pevsner described it in 1973 as "the most interesting recent housing scheme in London". The site surrounds the Grade I listed Church of St James the Less, built in 1859–61. The entire estate, including the church, was designated a conservation area in 1990.

The Lord High Admiral is a Grade II* listed former public house at 43 Vauxhall Bridge Road, Pimlico, London.English Heritage note that it is attached to Charlwood House (also Grade II* listed). The design is as the result of a competition won in 1961 by John Darbourne. The structure was built in 1964–67, and the interior fitted out 1968–69. The architects were John Darbourne and Geoffrey Darke, Darbourne & Darke. It was later renamed as the Pimlico Beer Garden before becoming an Argentinian restaurant.

St James the Less is a Church of England Parish Church in Pimlico, Westminster, built in 1858–61 by George Edmund Street in the Gothic Revival style. A grade I listed building, it has been described as "one of the finest Gothic Revival churches anywhere". The church was constructed predominantly in brick with embellishments from other types of stone. Its most prominent external feature is its free-standing Italian-style tower, while its interior incorporates design themes which Street observed in medieval Gothic buildings in continental Europe.

Westminster Under School is an independent preparatory school for boys aged 7 to 13, attached to Westminster School in London.The school was founded in 1943 in the precincts of Westminster School in Little Dean's Yard, just behind Westminster Abbey. In 1951 the Under School relocated to its own premises in Eccleston Square. Due to rising numbers of pupils in the 1960s and 1970s, the school moved again in 1981 to its present site (a former hospital) overlooking the Westminster School playing fields in Vincent Square. There are 285 pupils attending the school. The school has a strong musical tradition and provides choristers for St Margaret's Church in Westminster Abbey. It also excels in sport, drama (having produced winners of the recent Shakespeare Schools Festival), chess and Latin. Most boys attending the school move on to Westminster School after the completion of either Common Entrance or Scholarship examinations (in the case of Westminster School, the Challenge), although a number of boys each year go on to other schools, including Eton. The previous Master was Mark O'Donnell, who retired in 2020 due to ill health. Steve Bailey came out of his retirement in the 2020/21 academic year as an interim measure. The current Master is Kate Jefferson who is currently on maternity leave and so the Acting Master is Michael Woodside. There are 47 members of staff.The school fees for the 2020-21 academic year are £6,834 per term.

Westminster is an area of Central London, England, within the larger City of Westminster, most notable for being the seat of the United Kingdom Parliament and most of the UK Government. The name (Old English: Westmynstre) originated from the informal description of the abbey church and royal peculiar of St Peter's (Westminster Abbey), west of the City of London (until the English Reformation there was also an Eastminster, near the Tower of London, in the East End of London). The abbey's origins date from between the 7th and 10th centuries, but it rose to national prominence when rebuilt by Edward the Confessor in the 11th. Westminster has been the home of England's government since about 1200, and from 1707 the Government of the United Kingdom. In 1539, it became a city. Westminster is often used as a metonym to refer to the Parliament of the United Kingdom, in the Palace of Westminster.

Rochester Row is a street in the City of Westminster in London that runs between Greycoat Place in the north and Vauxhall Bridge Road in the south. It is joined by Greycoat Street, Rochester Street, Vincent Square, Emery Hill Street, Vane Street, Stillington Street, and Willow Place. On 4 May 1927, the Charing Cross Trunk Murder took place in a third floor office at 86 Rochester Row. On 6 May, John Robinson, a 35-year-old estate agent, took a cab to Charing Cross railway station, where he deposited a large black trunk in the left-luggage office. On 10 May after a "dreadful smell" was noted, the police opened the trunk to find the dismembered body of a woman. The Lindley Library in London is the largest horticultural library in the world. It is within the headquarters of the Royal Horticultural Society,

The Westminster Almshouses Foundation is based at Palmers House, 42 Rochester Row, London. Its building is a grade II listed building.

Lindley Hall in Elverton Street, Westminster, London is the older of the two Royal Horticultural Halls and is owned by RHS Enterprises Limited, which is part of the charity Royal Horticultural Society in central London. The other is Lawrence Hall, which is no longer owned by the RHS; both are close to Vincent Square.Although built as an exhibition hall, Lindley Hall is increasingly used for product launches, conferences, fashion shows, banquets, weddings and other events.

The Church of St Stephen in Rochester Row, London, is a grade II* listed building.The architect was Benjamin Ferrey and the foundation stone was laid on 20 July 1847. The completed church was consecrated with great ceremony on 24 June 1850, the Festival of the nativity of St John the Baptist.Due to bomb damage to St John's, Smith Square, in 1941, its parish was united with St Stephen's on 24 November 1950, becoming the parish of St Stephen's with St John's.On the 9 June 2022, Prince William, Duke of Cambridge sold The Big Issue on Rochester Row opposite and outside of the Church of St Stephen.
