Grant Park is a neighbourhood in the River Heights area of southern Winnipeg, Manitoba. Its general boundaries are Grant Avenue to the north, Stafford Street to the east, the CNR Mainline to the south, and Cambridge Street to the west.: 6 

Grant Park Shopping Centre (formerly Grant Park Plaza) is a 70-shop, nearly 400,000-square-foot shopping centre in the Grant Park area of southwest Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Located near the mall are Grant Park High School and the Pan-Am Pool.

Fort Rouge is a district of Winnipeg, Manitoba, in Canada. Located in the south-central part of the city, it is bounded on the north by the Assiniboine River, on the east and south by the Red River, and on the west by Stafford Street and Pembina Highway. It composes part of the city ward of Fort Rouge-East Fort Garry, as well as belonging to the provincial electoral district of Fort Rouge, and the federal electoral district of Winnipeg South Centre. Fort Rouge is not a discrete census district, so its population cannot be easily obtained through census records; the 2006 combined population of Fort Rouge and the neighbouring district of River Heights was 56,505.

Winnipeg South Centre (French: Winnipeg-Centre-Sud) is a federal electoral district in Manitoba, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1925 to 1979 and since 1988.

Fort Garry-Riverview was a provincial electoral division in the Canadian province of Manitoba. It was created by the decennial electoral redistribution in 2008, out of parts of Lord Roberts and Fort Garry. It was in south-central Winnipeg. It bordered the ridings of Fort Richmond, St. Norbert, Riel, St. Vital, St. Boniface, Fort Rouge, River Heights, and Fort Whyte. The riding's population in 2006 was 20,365. Fort Garry-Riverview was eliminated by redistribution in 2018 and its territory went to parts of the re-created Fort Garry and Fort Rouge.

The Elm Park Bridge, sometimes locally referred to as the BDI Bridge or the Ice Cream Bridge, is a steel truss bridge over the Red River in Winnipeg, Manitoba.It links Kingston Crescent in the neighbourhood of St. Vital with Jubilee Avenue in the neighbourhood of Fort Rouge. Built in 1912 and opened in 1914, it is the fourth-oldest bridge in Winnipeg after the Redwood, Louise, and Arlington. The bridge has a deck measuring 16 feet (4.9 m) wide; though initially open to two-way vehicular traffic, it was closed to vehicles in 1974, remaining accessible to only pedestrians and cyclists ever since.The nickname "BDI Bridge" is derived from the popular ice-cream vendor, Bridge Drive-In (BDI), that sits adjacent to the bridge. In turn, BDI itself is so-named because of its proximity to the Elm Park Bridge.

Lord Roberts was a provincial electoral division in the Canadian province of Manitoba, located in the south-central section of the City of Winnipeg. It was created by redistribution in 1999, and consists primarily of territory taken from the now-defunct ridings of Osborne and Crescentwood. The district is named after Field Marshal Lord Roberts. Lord Roberts was bordered to the south by Fort Garry and St. Vital, to the west by River Heights, to the north by Fort Rouge and St. Boniface and to the east by St. Vital. Lord Roberts' population in 1996 was 20,469. The average family income in 1999 was $44,963, with an unemployment rate of 7.70%. Thirty-one per cent of the riding's residents are listed as low income. Over 47% of the riding's dwelling houses in 1999 were rental units, and over 20% of the riding's families were single-parent. Over 19% of the riding's population was above 65 years of age. 14% per cent of the riding's residents were immigrants, including 5% German and 4% Ukrainian. Four percent of the riding's residents were Jewish. The service sector accounts for 19% of Lord Roberts's industry, followed by 13% in health and social services. The riding was only ever held by the New Democratic Party of Manitoba (NDP), and was generally considered safe for the party. Its only MLA was Diane McGifford, who was re-elected in 2003 with over 60% of the riding's popular vote. For the 2011 election, the riding was dissolved into Fort Rouge, River Heights, and the new riding of Fort Garry-Riverview

St Ignatius Church is a Roman Catholic Parish church in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It was founded in 1908 by the Society of Jesus and went on to found St. Ignatius School. It is situated on the corner of Stafford Street and Corydon Avenue on the south side of the Assiniboine River.

Rockwood is a neighbourhood in the River Heights area of south-central Winnipeg, Manitoba. Its borders are Corydon Avenue on the north, Stafford Street on the east, Grant Avenue to the south, and Cambridge Street to the west. Adjacent neighbourhoods are Crescentwood to the north, Grant Park to the south, Central River Heights to the West, and Earl Grey (Fort Rouge) to the east.Except the homes between Harrow and Stafford Street, the neighbourhood features primarily post WWII single-storey bungalow homes.

St. Ignatius School is a Roman Catholic school in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It was opened on January 12, 1911, by the Parish of St. Ignatius. The school is located in the neighborhood of Rockwood in the River Heights area. The school and church share one city block, bounded by Corydon Avenue to the north, Jessie Avenue to the south, Stafford Street to the east and Harrow Street to the west. The school serves 240 co-ed students from Nursery to Grade 8. The school is the only Catholic school N-8 in Winnipeg that does not wear uniforms. An electrical fire on February 20, 2007, damaged the oldest remaining wing - originally built in 1956. These were rebuilt and classes resumed by the fall of 2007.

Crescentwood is a neighbourhood in the River Heights area of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. It is bordered on the north on Academy Road, on the east by the Assiniboine River, on the south by Corydon Avenue, and on the west by Cambridge Street.

Fort Garry is a community area and neighbourhood of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, located in the southwestern part of the city, south of the district of Fort Rouge and east of the Tuxedo area. It comprises parts of the city wards of River Heights - Fort Garry, Fort Rouge - East Fort Garry, Waverley West, and St. Norbert - Seine River.Once the Rural Municipality of Fort Garry, it was named for the historical fortification in downtown Winnipeg known as Upper Fort Garry, although the nearest (northernmost) point of the district (at Jubilee Avenue and Lilac Street) is 3.75 km (2.33 mi) from the site of the fort.
