Fort Rouge is a district of Winnipeg, Manitoba, in Canada. Located in the south-central part of the city, it is bounded on the north by the Assiniboine River, on the east and south by the Red River, and on the west by Stafford Street and Pembina Highway. It composes part of the city ward of Fort Rouge-East Fort Garry, as well as belonging to the provincial electoral district of Fort Rouge, and the federal electoral district of Winnipeg South Centre. Fort Rouge is not a discrete census district, so its population cannot be easily obtained through census records; the 2006 combined population of Fort Rouge and the neighbouring district of River Heights was 56,505.

Nassau Street is a 2-kilometre (1.2 mi) street in Winnipeg, Manitoba, located partially within the Osborne Village and Fort Rouge neighbourhoods. The north terminus of Nassau St. North is Roslyn Crescent and travels in a southeast direction, crossing Pembina Highway, swinging southwest before joining up with Garwood Avenue. Its route length is 1.3 km (0.81 mi) The north terminus of Nassau St. South is Brandon Avenue and travels in a southeast direction ending near Churchill Drive with a break near Kylemore Avenue. Its route length is 700 m (0.43 mi).

Fort Rouge is a provincial electoral division in the Canadian province of Manitoba. It was created by redistribution in 1957, and formally came into existence in the general election of 1958. The riding was eliminated in 1989, and re-established in 1999. It is located in the central section of the City of Winnipeg. Fort Rouge is bordered on the east by St. Boniface, to the south by Fort Garry-Riverview, to the north by Logan, and to the west by River Heights. The actual Legislative Assembly of Manitoba building is located across the river from Fort Rouge. The riding's population in 1996 was 20,364. In 1999, the average family income was $49,361, and the unemployment rate was 8.70%. 39.6% of Fort Rouge's residents are listed as low-income, the sixth-highest rate in the province. Almost 80% of occupied dwelling are rentals, and over 20% of households are single-parent families. Almost 25% of Fort Rouge's residents have a university degree—one of the highest rates in the province. Fort Rouge has an immigrant population of 20%. Eight per cent of the riding's residents are aboriginal. The service sector accounts for 21% of Fort Rouge's industry, with a further 11% in social services. The seat was held by the Progressive Conservatives from 1958 to 1973, and was a rare bastion of Liberal strength in the province from 1973 to 1981. Lloyd Axworthy was the riding's representative from 1973 to 1979; for a time, he was the only Liberal in the legislature. In recent years the Liberal Party have been the main challengers to the NDP and the Liberal Leader, Rana Bokhari ran here for the 2016 provincial election, where she lost to the NDP star candidate Wab Kinew. At the 2015 federal election, according to Elections Canada data, Fort Rouge voted heavily Liberal.The district is represented by NDP leader Wab Kinew.

Little Italy, also known as Corydon Village, is a neighbourhood in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. It is located on Corydon Avenue between Stafford Street on the west, and Pembina Highway on the east. The district has many boutiques and restaurants.

The Elm Park Bridge, sometimes locally referred to as the BDI Bridge or the Ice Cream Bridge, is a steel truss bridge over the Red River in Winnipeg, Manitoba.It links Kingston Crescent in the neighbourhood of St. Vital with Jubilee Avenue in the neighbourhood of Fort Rouge. Built in 1912 and opened in 1914, it is the fourth-oldest bridge in Winnipeg after the Redwood, Louise, and Arlington. The bridge has a deck measuring 16 feet (4.9 m) wide; though initially open to two-way vehicular traffic, it was closed to vehicles in 1974, remaining accessible to only pedestrians and cyclists ever since.The nickname "BDI Bridge" is derived from the popular ice-cream vendor, Bridge Drive-In (BDI), that sits adjacent to the bridge. In turn, BDI itself is so-named because of its proximity to the Elm Park Bridge.

Manitoba Electrical Museum and Education Centre is a museum in Winnipeg, Manitoba, dedicated to the electrical history of Manitoba. It is a volunteer-run organization housed in a converted electrical substation building.The Museum is affiliated with: CMA, CHIN, and Virtual Museum of Canada.

Its transmitter and antenna are on top of #7 Evergreen Place in Osborne village in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Local cultural programs are a large part of the schedule, and a quarter of CKUW's programming consists of spoken word shows covering local news, the entertainment scene, and community/social justice issues. The station operates 24 hours a day 7 days a week with all the programming being done by volunteers.
