The German Patent and Trade Mark Office (German: Deutsches Patent- und Markenamt; abbreviation: DPMA) is the German national patent office, with headquarters in Munich, and offices in Berlin and Jena. In 2006 it employed 2556 people, of which about 700 were patent examiners.

Munich Isartor station is a station opened in 1972 on the Munich S-Bahn on the trunk line between Munich Central Station (German: Hauptbahnhof) and Munich East station (Ostbahnhof). It is located below Isartorplatz and the Thierschstraße/Zweibrückenstraße intersection in Munich and is named after the nearby Isartor city gate. It is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 4 station.Like all other stations on the trunk line, it has two entrances. The Western entrance leads to a vast mezzanine on the Altstadtring/Tal/Zweibrückenstraße intersection and the eastern entrance starts at the courtyard of the Breiterhof shopping arcade between Thierschstraße and Liebherrstraße. Because the S-Bahn trunk line passes under the Isar between the stations of Isartor and Rosenheimerplatz just to the east of the station, both tubes are fitted with flood gates so that the tunnel can be sealed watertight, so that in the event of flooding of the Isar the stations lying to the west are not also flooded. There is no similar construction on the eastern side of the Isar because Rosenheimer Platz station is substantially higher than the Isar. During the tunneling, the approximately 2,000 ton Isartor tower had to be supported by elaborate scaffolding in order to protect the site and the tower. The station is one of the five underground stations of the S-Bahn trunk line that were built between 1966 and 1972. Unlike the other four, München Isartor is not a Haltepunkt (“halt point”, defined as having no sets of points), because it has four sets of points. These allow trains towards Munich East station and trains towards Donnersbergerbrücke to change between track 2 and track 1. Like Rosenheimerplatz station, Isartor station is a purely S-Bahn station without connection to the U-Bahn or long-distance services. Transfer facilities exist to tram lines 16 and 18 and to the bus route 132. In 2007, the station was used daily (Mon-Fri) by 45,900 passengers, entering, exiting and transferring. The platform is 210 metres long and 96 cm high. The station is not barrier-free for the disabled. Isartor is also one of only two stations with their island platforms not arranged in Spanish solution, the other one is München Rosenheimer Platz.

The Isartor at the Isartorplatz in Munich is one of four main gates of the medieval city wall. It served as a fortification for the defence and is the most easterly of Munich's three remaining gothic town gates (Isartor, Sendlinger Tor and Karlstor). The gate (German: Tor) is located close to the Isar and was named after the river.

The Deutsches Museum (German Museum, officially Deutsches Museum von Meisterwerken der Naturwissenschaft und Technik (English: German Museum of Masterpieces of Science and Technology)) in Munich, Germany, is the world's largest museum of science and technology, with about 28,000 exhibited objects from 50 fields of science and technology. It receives about 1.5 million visitors per year. The museum was founded on 28 June 1903, at a meeting of the Association of German Engineers (VDI) as an initiative of Oskar von Miller. It is the largest museum in Munich. For a period of time the museum was used to host pop and rock concerts including The Who, Jimi Hendrix and Elton John.

The Sterneckerbräu was a brewery in Munich, Germany. The associated inn served as a meeting place for the first branch of the German Workers' Party (DAP), which later changed its name to the Nazi Party (NSDAP). Similar to the Bürgerbräukeller, it was a place of pilgrimage for the Nazi movement. The building is now used as a residential and commercial building and is a registered monument on the Bavarian monument list.

The Beer and Oktoberfest Museum (German: Bier- und Oktoberfestmuseum) in Munich deals with the history of beer and the Munich Oktoberfest.The museum was opened on 7 September 2005 and is housed in an old town house in the old town from the year 1327. The building is accessed inside through a staircase, which is nearly 500 years old, has 43 steps and extends over four floors.

Stollbergstraße 20, is a building located in the old town of Munich, Germany. The main and auxiliary buildings are part of the historical building ensemble of the old town.

St. Luke's Church (German: St. Lukas or Lukaskirche) is the largest Protestant church in Munich, southern Germany. It was built in 1893–96, and designed by Albert Schmidt. It is the only pre-World War II Lutheran parish church building remaining in the historic section of central Munich. St. Luke's is located on the banks of the Isar, between the Steinsdorfstraße and Mariannenplatz. The address of the grounds is on Mariannenplatz (Mariannenplatz 3), while the main entrance is on the Steinsdorfstraße. The two eastern bell towers and the almost 64-meter high dome are prominent features. Although the large church is nicknamed Dom der Münchner Protestanten (Cathedral of the Munich Protestants), St. Luke's is not a seat of a bishop (cathedra).

The Munich Kammerspiele (German: Münchner Kammerspiele) is a state-funded German-language theater company based at the Schauspielhaus on Maximilianstrasse in the Bavarian capital. The company currently has three venues: the main stage of the theatre with two small stages, the workroom on Hildegardstrasse, and the Therese-Giehse-Halle in the rehearsal building on Falckenbergstrasse.

The Otto Falckenberg Schule – Fachakademie für darstellende Kunst der Landeshauptstadt München, or Otto Falckenberg School of the Performing Arts, is a higher education academy in Munich training actors and directors, affiliated to the Münchner Kammerspiele. It was founded in 1946 as the Städtische Schauspielschule but renamed to its present name on 1 March 1948, after the director and theatre manager Otto Falckenberg. Its current director is Jochen Noch and assistant director Sigrid Herzog.

The Museum Five Continents or Five Continents Museum (German: Museum Fünf Kontinente) in Munich, Germany is a museum for non-European artworks and objects of cultural value. Its name until 9 September 2014 was Bavarian State Museum of Ethnology (German: Staatliches Museum für Völkerkunde).
