Beaverton is a city in Washington County, in the U.S. state of Oregon with a small portion bordering Portland in the Tualatin Valley. The city is among the main cities that make up the Portland metropolitan area. Its population was 97,494 at the 2020 census, making it the second-largest city in the county and the seventh-largest city in Oregon. Beaverton is an economic center for Washington County along with neighboring Hillsboro. It is home to the world headquarters of Nike, Inc., although it sits outside of city limits on unincorporated county land. The hunter–gatherer Atfalati tribe of the Kalapuya people inhabited the Tualatin Valley prior to the arrival of European–American settlers in the 19th century. They occupied a village near the Beaverton and Fanno creeks called Chakeipi, which meant "place of the beaver", and early white settlers referred to this village as Beaverdam. Lawrence Hall took up the first land claim in 1847 and established a grist mill. The entry of a railroad in 1868 spurred growth in the small farming communities and led to the town's incorporation in 1893.

Magna Kubo was a Filipino restaurant in Beaverton, Oregon. Owner Carlo Lamagna and chef Kevin Balonso opened the restaurant in 2023, as an off-shoot of Lamagna's Portland eatery Magna Kusina. Magna Kubo specialized in rotisserie-style meats and also served bistek, chicken wings, laing, and halo-halo. Despite garnering a positive reception and being named one of the metropolitan area's best new restaurants by The Oregonian, Magna Kubo closed in 2024.

The Beaverton Downtown Historic District comprises a primarily commercial and civic portion of downtown Beaverton, Oregon, United States. Beaverton's historic commercial core remains largely intact as a pedestrian-oriented business district constructed along the street pattern from the city's earliest plats. Significant buildings include a handful from the city's first decades (1868–1920) and a larger number from the period of profound transformation between the world wars (1920–1940). The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Beaverton Transit Center is an intermodal passenger transport hub in Beaverton, Oregon, United States. Owned and operated by TriMet, it is served by bus, commuter rail, and light rail. The transit center is MAX Light Rail's 15th station eastbound on the Blue Line and western terminus on the Red Line. It is also the northern terminus of WES Commuter Rail and a hub for bus routes mostly serving the westside communities of the Portland metropolitan area. Beaverton Transit Center is situated on Southwest Lombard Avenue, just north of Southwest Canyon Road in central Beaverton, connected by walkway to Canyon Place Shopping Center. It recorded 9,709 average weekday boardings for all modes in fall 2018, making it TriMet's busiest transit center. The first Beaverton Transit Center, which was one of two transit centers built in Beaverton as part of TriMet's Westside Transit Plan, opened near Beaverton–Hillsdale Highway in 1979. The second and current facility, relocated farther north from the previous site, opened on September 4, 1988, for bus service. The Westside MAX project, which extended light rail from downtown Portland to Beaverton and Hillsboro, added light rail platforms in 1998. Initially served only by the Blue Line, Red Line service from Portland International Airport was extended to the transit center in 2003. WES began serving Beaverton Transit Center in 2009.

Beaverton City Park, also known as City Fountain Park, is a park in front of the library building at Southwest Fifth Street and Southwest Hall Boulevard in downtown Beaverton, Oregon, in the United States. In 1998, voters approved a bond for the library's construction; leftover project funds were used to build the fountain. Thomas Hacker Architects designed the park and library improvements, and the fountain was designed by Samson Hydrotechnical Fountain System Design. The fountain and park improvements were completed in 2001. Richard Taylor's sculpture Singing Sky was added to the park by the Beaverton Arts Commission.

Beaverton Central is a light rail station on the MAX Blue Line in Beaverton, Oregon, United States. The station, located near Beaverton's downtown area, is surrounded by a mixed-use development, The Round at Beaverton Central, the present location of the main offices of The Linux Foundation, previously the Open Source Development Labs. In March 2011, TriMet received a federal grant to pay for the installation of security cameras at the station. Traveling eastbound, this is the final station to be served only by the Blue Line until the East 102nd Avenue station.
