The White Bay Cruise Terminal is a terminal for cruise ships on Sydney Harbour. The terminal is located at the eastern end of the White Bay wharves, on the northern shore of White Bay. It opened on 15 April 2013 as a replacement for Wharf 8 on Darling Harbour which closed to make way for the Barangaroo development.The terminal building was constructed within and amongst a twin-beam gantry structure originally constructed in the 1960s for gantry cranes for container use. In October 2013 it won the transport section at the World Architecture Festival. The Overseas Passenger Terminal remains as Sydney's primary terminal, with the White Bay Cruise Terminal only taking those vessels which can fit under the Sydney Harbour Bridge. When the terminal is occupied, Captain Cook Cruises operate a ferry service to Barangaroo.A 2017 study into implementing shore power at the White Bay Cruise Terminal estimated the implementation cost to be $36 million causing the NSW State Government to rule out implementing it. On 21 March 2022 it was announced that approximately $60 million would be spent to enable shore power at the terminal from 2024.

Ewenton is a heritage-listed residence at 1 Blake Street, Balmain, Inner West Council, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by James McDonald and built from 1854 to 1872. It is also known as Blake Vale. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

The Volunteer Hotel was a pub in the suburb of Balmain in the Inner West of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. The pub is named because of its association with a group of volunteer firefighters. The fire bell was located across the road in Darling Street and when it rang, the volunteers would gather and proceed on to the fire. Once their work was complete, they would meet at the hotel for refreshment. The hotel was established before November 1865.The hotel closed in 1928 and from 1930 was the location of Mrs Riley's confectionery shop. It is now a private residence.

Louisaville is a heritage-listed residence at 2 Wells Street, Balmain, Inner West Council, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is also known as Inglefield House. It was built by William Carss. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

Elizabeth Macarthur Bay is a small bay off Johnstons Bay, Pyrmont, New South Wales, now developed into a decorative and recreational bay at Pirrama Park. The Bay is named for Elizabeth Macarthur, wife of the wool pioneer John Macarthur, who had purchased nearby land in Pyrmont in 1797.

Balmain Hospital (formerly Balmain Cottage Hospital and Balmain District Hospital) is a public hospital in the suburb of Balmain in Sydney, Australia. It was founded in 1885 and provides outpatient, rehabilitation, aged care and general practice/casualty services.The hospital commenced operation in 1885 in an adapted cottage, which survives as the hospital's administration building and is now heritage listed. A series of additions and new buildings occurred throughout its early decades: a new wing (the Evans Ward) opened in March 1890, a new outpatient, women's and children's wing (the Victoria Ward) opened in September 1901, it underwent major refurbishment in 1908 and a new children's ward opened in September 1924.It expanded significantly in the 1920s, increasing from 40 beds to 120 beds and experiencing a doubling of treated patients. Complaints about run-down, overcrowded and otherwise poor hospital facilities were common through the late 1920s and into the 1930s. New women's and children's wards opened in 1935 and new nurses quarters' (Stacey House) in 1937. A major new four-storey building, Thornton House, was added in 1943.The hospital underwent a significant downgrade and refocus c. 1993, with the closure of the emergency department and change in focus to provide primarily for aged care and rehabilitation, though a new casualty department opened shortly afterwards to deal with remaining unmet need.The Balmain Hospital Main Building is listed on the New South Wales Heritage Register.

Balmain ferry wharf (also known as Thames Street ferry wharf) is located on Sydney Harbour serving the Sydney suburb of Balmain. It is served by Sydney Ferries Cockatoo Island services operating between Circular Quay and Cockatoo Island, with some peak F3 services operating to Chiswick. The single wharf is served by First Fleet and RiverCat class ferries. In September 2012, the wharf closed for a rebuild. The existing wharf was demolished and a new one opened in February 2013.To the east of the wharf, lies Transdev Sydney Ferries' Balmain depot.

Waterview Wharf Workshops is a heritage-listed former shipping company workshops at 37 Nicholson Street, Balmain, Inner West Council, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It was built from 1880 to 1941. It is also known as Adelaide Steamship Company wharf and Burns timber yard. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.
