Badalona

Centre is the usual name for the central area of Badalona, a locality in the metropolitan area of Barcelona (Catalonia, Spain). It's located in the District 1 by the Mediterranean Sea, and is a commercial and residential area with good transportation connections. It had 1344 inhabitants in the 2010 census.

Line 13 is the name of a proposed service in the Barcelona Metro network which would join La Morera (neighborhood) in Badalona, a municipality of Barcelonès to the north of Barcelona, with the hilly area around Can Ruti Hospital. The line, which will be a short hybrid light rail-metro addition to the main subway lines which will cover a poorly communicated area, similar to L11, was announced in 2002 by Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalan government). It was also made public the line will be displayed in maps using a shade of pink (Pantone 232C). In the future Morera, L13 will join L2, and will not be too far from the new terminus of L1, which are currently being extended into this area of Badalona, in what will be Badalona Centre. The chosen colour for L13 is intended to suggest a mixture of the L1 and L2 colours. As of 2019, the Generalitat de Catalunya hasn't stated when construction will start.

The Badalona Museum, opened in 1966, hosts the remains of the Roman city of Baetulo. The remains include Roman baths, shops, housing complexes, and part of the cardo maximus and decumanus maximus. Its museum holds a collection of artifacts from its own excavations and objects from other eras relevant to the city.In 2010, the decumanus site, with remains from the Cardo Maximus and the Decumanus Maximus, diverse shops or tavernae, and three insulae, became part of the visit. A permanent exhibition opened that describes the first settlements recorded in Badalona and the history and characteristics of Roman Baetulo. Some of its exhibits are the Venus of Badalona, the Tabula hospitalis, the ceramic vessel Vas de les Naus, the portrait of Agripina. and three Iberian steles.

Badalona Pompeu Fabra is the name of a Barcelona Metro station in downtown Badalona, a municipality in the metropolitan area of Barcelona, served by metro line L2, and its northern terminus. Saveguarded plans for the extension of L1 also include this station. It's named after Pompeu Fabra, grammarian and political figure. If the project is finally approved, it will be part of L13 as well. Construction started in October 2005 and was initially expected to be opened in 2007 under the working name Badalona Centre. However, the station wouldn't be inaugurated until 2010, due to controlled demolition problems and the discovery of Roman ruins in the area. Its platforms are over 100 m long and 9 m wide.

Casa Agustí is a modernista building in the Progrés quarter of Badalona (metropolitan area of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain) built in 1893. It was designed by the renowned architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner as the residence of the engineer Eduard Agustí Saladrigas. The building became a restaurant in 1936 and currently serves food and refreshments. Among its remarkable features are the round red brick tower and the surrounding gardens. The nearest existing Barcelona Metro station is Pep Ventura, and notoriously the undergoing extension of the metro network has allegedly damaged its façade.

El Progrés is a coastal area of Badalona (Barcelonès, Catalonia, Spain) in the town's District 1, and as such, part of the metropolitan area of Barcelona. It is bordered by Gorg, La Mora, Raval, Can Claris, Centre and the Mediterranean Sea. As of the 2012 census El Progrés had 11,059 inhabitants, or 5% of Badalona's population. Like many toponyms in the town (such as Unió, Conquista, Indústria) the name of this neighbourhood —which is Catalan for "The Progress"— evokes the industrial age which was the time of its inception.The area is home to the famous Anís del Mono factory, in Avinguda Eduard Maristany. It was built by the brothers Bosch and Grau in 1868, and it is close to both the rail tracks the Pont del Petroli beach. Platja del Coco is another beach within administrative limits of the area. The former CACI factory will host the forthcoming Museu del Còmic i la Il·lustració de Catalunya, currently under construction.

Pep Ventura is the name of a Barcelona metro station located in the municipality of Badalona, in the metropolitan area of Barcelona, and served by L2. It was the northern terminus of that line until 2010, when it was extended into the town centre and into the station Badalona Pompeu Fabra. It was opened in 1985, then as part of L4, which had been extended to there from La Pau. In 2002, though, that branch became part of L2. This station is located under Avinguda del Marquès de Mont-roig, next to Plaça Pep Ventura, in Badalona.

Line 2 is a metro line in Barcelona operated by TMB, coloured purple and sometimes called línia lila. It is part of the city's ATM fare-integrated transport network. As of 2013, its termini are Paral·lel, in the Sants-Montjuïc district, and Badalona Pompeu Fabra, in Badalona. Plans are underway for a southern extension to Poble-Sec and Montjuïc, and eventually to El Prat airport. Line 2's architecture bears resemblance to older lines, with its characteristic simplicity and lack of ornament. However, the stations enjoy noticeably better lighting and do incorporate some more modern architectural principles, a symbol of its construction in the 1990s.

Camp del Centenari was a stadium in Badalona, Catalonia, Spain. It was used for football matches and was the home stadium of CF Badalona. The stadium held 10,000 spectators and was demolished in 2015.

Pavelló Club Joventut Badalona (also known as Pavelló dels Països Catalans) is an indoor arena located in Badalona, Catalonia, Spain. Built in 1972, it hosted the boxing events for the 1992 Summer Olympics. The arena has a capacity of 3,300 people.Pavelló Club Joventut Badalona

Club de Fútbol Badalona (Catalan pronunciation: [bəðəˈlonə]) is a Spanish football team based in Badalona, in the autonomous community of Catalonia. Founded in 1903 it plays in Segunda División RFEF – Group 3, temporarily holding home games at Estadi Municipal de Badalona, with a capacity of 4,170 seats.

Gorg is a neighborhood of Badalona (Catalonia, Spain) which belongs to the town's District 5 and consequently part of the metropolitan area of Barcelona. Gorg owes its origins to the Industrial Revolution and the substantial growth of the Barcelona area. It still contains a great number of factories, but the area has been recently subject to profound changes. Developers related to Marina Badalona have been involved with the ongoing transformation of the area. The area is home to the 1992 Summer Olympics venue Palau Municipal d'Esports de Badalona. Construction of an urban canal connecting the marina with the sports arena through Gorg has long been put on hold until now that many real state agencies are detecting the raise of a new and modern neighborhood and the canal is already constructed.
