Bramley Park, Leeds

Bramley railway station serves the suburb of Bramley, Leeds, England. It lies on the Calder Valley line 4 miles (6 km) west from Leeds.

Bramley is a district in west Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. It is part of the City of Leeds Ward of Bramley and Stanningley with a population of 21,334 at the 2011 Census. The area is an old industrial area with much 19th century architecture and 20th century council housing in the east and private suburban housing in the west.

Moorside is part of the Bramley area of Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. Moorside falls within the Bramley and Stanningley ward of the Leeds Metropolitan Council.

Leeds West and Pudsey is a constituency in West Yorkshire represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. The Rodley Nature Reserve is a wetland reserve created in 1999 on the site of a former sewage works on the outskirts of Rodley, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom. It is situated just north of Town Street on the north bank of the River Aire.

McLaren Field was a rugby league stadium in Bramley, Leeds, England. It was the home of Bramley R.L.F.C. from 1965 to 1995. The ground was also used as a home base for several years by the Leeds-based American football team the Leeds Cougars of the British American Football League.

Newlay and Horsforth railway station, until 1889 and from 1961 called Newlay station, was a station on the route of the former Leeds and Bradford Railway (now part of the Airedale Line and the Wharfedale Line), located on the right bank of the River Aire and on the left bank of the Leeds and Liverpool canal between Horsforth in the north and Bramley in the south. It was accessed from Pollard Lane, which still crosses the railway on a bridge there, and served mainly the southern parts of Horsforth in West Yorkshire, England.

Barley Mow was a former home ground of the Bramley rugby league club in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England who moved there in 1881, just two years after their foundation. The club used the nearby Barley Mow public house as changing rooms.In 1907 Barley Mow became the first ground to stage a club match against the touring New Zealanders. In 2007, a blue plaque was added to the Barley Mow pub to mark the anniversary of the tour match.In the 1960s, the club moved to a new ground on adjacent land, which became known as McLaren Field. In 1995, the stadium at MacLaren Field had safety problems that Bramley could not afford to implement and it was demolished to be replaced with housing.

Kirkstall Forge railway station is a suburban station serving the Kirkstall area of Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. It is on the Leeds to Bradford Line between Leeds City and Shipley and was opened on 19 June 2016, near the site of an earlier station with the same name.

Bramley Fall Stone stone belongs to the Millstone Grit series, of the Namurian stage of the Carboniferous Period. It is one of the cheapest and best-adapted English stones for extensive engineering works, docks, locks and railways, and for large millstones, grindstones, engine-beds and foundations. The stone was formerly quarried at or near the village of Bramley, Leeds. Evidence of the quarries, which were discontinued around 1930, remain in Bramley Fall Park. A similar Millstone Grit stone also occurs over an extensive area at Calverley where Ann Husler ran a quarrying business in the 19th century, and at Ilkley and Pateley in Yorkshire. A somewhat similar stone, which can be very coarse, approaching a conglomerate is found at Weetwood, Meanwood and Horsforth. Similar Millstone Grits have also been quarried in Derbyshire.
