Sutton Forest is a small village in the Southern Highlands, New South Wales, Australia in Wingecarribee Shire. It is located 5 km southwest of Moss Vale on the Illawarra Highway. Sutton Forest was originally granted, then owned by Navy Chief officer, Captain John Nicholson who recently emigrated from Cumbria, England to Australia. This privately owned estate was originally 700 acres, this is where John Nicholson lived and died. Sutton Forest is located in an agrarian setting and is surrounded by farms, vineyards and is home to manor homes and estates. It is in one of the oldest areas settled by Europeans in Australia after Sydney and is somewhat reminiscent of an English village due to the temperate Southern Highlands climate and high rainfall. Sutton Forest comprises two churches, an inn, and two specialty shops. In 2004, a proposal to locate Sydney's second airport in Sutton Forest met with fierce opposition from locals. It was one of the first colonial settlements outside Sydney and thus has many heritage buildings such as the Hillview Heritage Hotel which was built in 1850s. It is home to the historical Peppers Manor House, Sutton Forest also known as Mount Broughton.

Hillview is a heritage-listed former residence on the Old Illawarra Highway at Sutton Forest in the Southern Highlands region of New South Wales, Australia. It was the official country residence of the Governor of New South Wales from 1882 to 1957. The house had formerly been known as Prospect. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999. The King's Foundation in Australia launched in October 2024 with a vision to preserve heritage and promote sustainable communities. Their first major initiative is the restoration of the Hillview Estate. This historic property will be transformed into a vibrant cultural and educational hub. Inspired by the successful regeneration of Dumfries House in Scotland.

The parish includes the small township of Bong Bong, which was the first village established in the Southern Highlands. The Wingecarribee River forms part of the boundary of the parish in the north and north-east. The Hume Highway passes through a small part of the parish in the north-west. Bowral is just beyond the boundary of the parish in the north-east. Berrima is located just to the north-west. Mount Broughton is a historic house located in Sutton Forest, New South Wales, Australia. It is run commercially as Peppers Manor House. The house was built in 1878 by S.C. Pepper and was the rural retreat for the Pepper family for almost one hundred years. In 1978 it was restored and opened as a country house hotel, one of the first such hotels in NSW. Later, extensions were made to convert it to a hotel and conference centre.

New Berrima is a village in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, Australia, in Wingecarribee Shire. According to the 2016 census, New Berrima had a population of 584. At the 2021 census, there were 598 residents. A cement factory was established in new Berrima, New South Wales in the late 1920s. New Berrima was built for its workers about 3 km south-east of Berrima during this time.

St Francis Xavier's Roman Catholic Church is a heritage-listed Catholic church at Hume Highway, Berrima, Wingecarribee Shire, New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by Augustus Pugin and built from 1849 to 1851 by William Munro. Originally known as St. Scholastica's Church, it is used by the Parish of St. Paul, administered by the Pauline Fathers, and located in the Diocese of Wollongong. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 25 January 2008.
