Werai is a locality in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, Australia, in Wingecarribee Shire. According to the 2016 census, Werai had a population of 90. At the 2021 census, 98 people were living at Werai.

Hillview is a heritage-listed former residence on the Old Illawarra Highway at Sutton Forest in the Southern Highlands region of New South Wales, Australia. It was the official country residence of the Governor of New South Wales from 1882 to 1957. The house had formerly been known as Prospect. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999. The King's Foundation in Australia launched in October 2024 with a vision to preserve heritage and promote sustainable communities. Their first major initiative is the restoration of the Hillview Estate. This historic property will be transformed into a vibrant cultural and educational hub. Inspired by the successful regeneration of Dumfries House in Scotland.

The parish includes the small township of Bong Bong, which was the first village established in the Southern Highlands. The Wingecarribee River forms part of the boundary of the parish in the north and north-east. The Hume Highway passes through a small part of the parish in the north-west. Bowral is just beyond the boundary of the parish in the north-east. Berrima is located just to the north-west. The Illawarra Highway passes through the parish from east to west, and is also a small part of the boundary in the south-west.

Whitley is a heritage-listed residence at 217 Oldbury Road, Sutton Forest, Wingecarribee Shire, New South Wales, Australia. It was built from 1887 to 1892. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

Sutton Forest is a small village in the Southern Highlands, New South Wales, Australia in Wingecarribee Shire. It is located 5 km southwest of Moss Vale on the Illawarra Highway. Sutton Forest was originally granted, then owned by Navy Chief officer, Captain John Nicholson who recently emigrated from Cumbria, England to Australia. This privately owned estate was originally 700 acres, this is where John Nicholson lived and died. Sutton Forest is located in an agrarian setting and is surrounded by farms, vineyards and is home to manor homes and estates. It is in one of the oldest areas settled by Europeans in Australia after Sydney and is somewhat reminiscent of an English village due to the temperate Southern Highlands climate and high rainfall. Sutton Forest comprises two churches, an inn, and two specialty shops. In 2004, a proposal to locate Sydney's second airport in Sutton Forest met with fierce opposition from locals. It was one of the first colonial settlements outside Sydney and thus has many heritage buildings such as the Hillview Heritage Hotel which was built in 1850s. It is home to the historical Peppers Manor House, Sutton Forest also known as Mount Broughton.

The Argyle Street railway bridge is a heritage-listed railway bridge on the Main Southern railway line (146.037 km) at Moss Vale in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, Australia. It was designed and built by the New South Wales Government Railways in 1914 with steel supplied by Dorman Long of Middlesbrough, England. The property is owned by Transport Asset Holding Entity, an agency of the Government of New South Wales. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

It is located 142 kilometres (88 mi) south-west of Sydney and 159 kilometres (99 mi) north-east of Canberra. The Illawarra Highway, which connects to Wollongong and the Illawarra coast via Macquarie Pass. Moss Vale has several heritage buildings. In the centre of the main street is Leighton Gardens. Moss Vale has undergone recent (2019) gentrification. It has become a hub for independent and creative businesses, including design stores, cafes, and bars. The town has a commercial district and a golf course, including a large parkland, Cecil Hoskins Nature Reserve.

Moss Vale High School is a government-funded co-educational comprehensive secondary day school, located in Moss Vale, a town in the Southern Highlands region of New South Wales, Australia. Established in 1963, the school enrolled approximately 650 students in 2018, from Year 7 to Year 12; six percent identified as Indigenous Australians and six percent were from a language background other than English. The school is operated by the NSW Department of Education; the principal is Patricia Holmes, and deputy principals are Matthew Carlyon and Helen Campbell.
