The École supérieure de journalisme (ESJ Paris; in English: Superior School of Journalism of Paris) is an institution of higher education in Paris dedicated to journalism and related studies. Its origin was in the Collège Libre des Sciences Sociales founded in 1895 by Dick May (pen name of Jeanne Weill, daughter of the rabbi of Algiers), and other supporters during the Dreyfus Affair. It was made a separate Grande École in 1899 and claims the title of the "world's first school of journalism". Intended to give students a broad knowledge of politics and economics, it did not award a separate journalism degree by name until 1910. The University of Missouri School of Journalism also claims the title of "first in the world", but it did not open until 1908 in Columbia, Missouri in the United States.

The Parc de Choisy is a public park located in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, near the Quartier Asiatique between avenue de Choisy, rue George-Eastman, rue Charles-Moureu, and rue du Docteur-Magnan. It was created in 1937. The nearest metro station is Tolbiac.

The Ligue nationale de basket (LNB; English: National Basketball League) is the governing body of men's professional club basketball in France. The LNB organises the first-tier Pro A and the second-tier Pro B. Additionally, the federation annually organises the Leaders Cup, Match des Champions and LNB All-Star Game. The LNB was established in 1987 by a committee consisting of high level professional clubs from France. In 1990, the LNB overtook the CCHN as the organizer of the top tier competition in France.

Tolbiac (French pronunciation: ​[tɔlbjak]) is a station of the Paris Métro. It is at the crossroads of two main roads, the Avenue d'Italie and the Rue de Tolbiac. It is near the Asian Quarter and the Parc de Choisy.

The PSB Paris School of Business (formerly ESG Management School) is a business school in Paris and Rennes (France) offering BBA, MBA, MSc, MIM, DBA, and executive education courses in English and French. The school is part of Groupe ESG, a network of seven business schools in Paris with a combined alumni of 26,000.

The avenue d'Italie is one of the main communication axes of the 13th arrondissement of Paris. It goes from Place d'Italie to Porte d'Italie, crossing the Rue de Tolbiac. Line 7 of the Paris metro has four stations along the avenue.

The Quartier asiatique (Asian Quarter), also called Triangle de Choisy or Petite Asie (Chinese: 巴黎唐人街, Vietnamese: Phố Tàu Paris) is the largest commercial and cultural center for the Asian community of Paris. It is located in the southeast of the 13th arrondissement in an area that contains many high-rise apartment buildings. Despite its status as a "Chinatown", the neighborhood also contains significant Vietnamese, Laotian and Cambodian populations.

Institut de Statistiques de l'Université de Paris (ISUP, roughly translated as "Paris Institute of Statistics" or literally to "Institute of Statistics of the University of Paris") is a graduate school of statistics based in Paris, in the fifth arrondissement. It offers specializations in actuarial sciences (finance and insurance), Biostatistics as well as industry and services. The ISUP is considered one of the most prestigious centers of learning of statistics in France, reflected in the number of job offers received regularly, the strength of its alumni network, and wages offered to its students out of school, which place it in the "top 15-ranked" French Grandes Ecoles Founded in 1922 by the mathematician Émile Borel, is the oldest and one of the most prestigious schools for statistics in France. The institute is currently affiliated to Sorbonne University and located on the campus of Jussieu.

Maison Blanche (French pronunciation: ​[mɛzɔ̃ blɑ̃ʃ]) is a station of the Paris Métro, serving Line 7. South of this station, the line forks into two branches, one leading to Villejuif – Louis Aragon and the other to Mairie d'Ivry.

The Tour Super-Italie is a residential skyscraper in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, France. Its exact address is 121-127, Avenue d'Italie. The mainly residential tower was built by the architect Maurice Novarina, assisted by the architects Jacques Giovannoni and Léger. It includes a private indoor swimming pool and a solarium accessible by a staircase from the 34th floor.

Olympiades (French pronunciation: [ɔlɛ̃pjad] (listen)) is the southern terminus of Line 14 of the Paris Métro. The station was formally inaugurated on 15 June 2007 in the presence of the Mayor of Paris, Bertrand Delanoë. It was opened to the general public at just before 5:30 a.m. on 26 June 2007. It takes its name from the area of high-rise residential tower blocks known as Les Olympiades in the heart of Paris's 13th arrondissement, to the east of the station Tolbiac, a quarter of Paris that was previously poorly served by the Metro. This area also contains the Tolbiac centre of the University of Paris and the largest Chinatown within Paris. Since the opening of the station, residents of the area, as well as staff and students at the university, can now access Saint-Lazare railway station in 13 minutes and the centre of Paris in around 10 minutes. The station entrance is at the intersection of the Rue de Tolbiac and Rue Nationale.
