The Engine House No. 6 in Wichita, Kansas, at 1300 S. Broadway, was built in 1909. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.It is a two-story concrete brick building, 26 by 51 feet (7.9 m × 15.5 m) in plan, with Tudor Revival-esque features.It was operational until 1953 when a replacement was built.

The 1979 Easter Sunday Herman Hill riot in Wichita, Kansas, United States – a confrontation between 500 law-enforcement personnel (from Wichita and surrounding jurisdictions) and the 3,500 attendees at a rock concert in Herman Hill Park – was one of the largest riots in the history of Wichita, drawing national attention and creating political and legal controversy.The event resulted in over 50 injuries, to more than two dozen police officers and dozens of civilians, and over 80 arrests. Tear gas was used and firearms were discharged. The event triggered extensive local, state and national attention, including investigations by authorities at all those levels, and raised major questions about the conduct of law enforcement in the Wichita area.

The Grace Methodist Episcopal Church in Wichita, Kansas, later known as Grace United Methodist Church, is a historic church at 944 S. Topeka. It was built in 1910 and added to the National Register in 2006.It is a two-story Classical Revival-style church designed by architect C. W. Terry, and was built at a cost of $65,000.C.W. Terry also designed the J.E. Raymond House in Girard, Kansas. It too is NRHP-listed.

Intrust Bank Arena is a 15,004-seat multi-purpose arena in Wichita, Kansas, United States. It is located on the northeast corner of Emporia and Waterman streets in downtown Wichita. The arena is the second largest indoor arena in the state of Kansas, behind Allen Fieldhouse at KU, which seats 16,300. Locally, it has more seating than Charles Koch Arena at WSU, which seats 10,506. The arena features 22 suites, 2 party suites, and over 300 premium seats. It is owned by the government of Sedgwick County and operated by ASM Global. It is home to Wichita Thunder (ice hockey team) and previously to Wichita Force (indoor football team). The Wichita State Shockers men's basketball team uses the arena as an alternate site for games that attract more fans than can be accommodated at its on-campus arena, Charles Koch Arena. The arena hosted first and second-round games for the NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament in 2011 and the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament in 2018. The arena is also scheduled to host 1st and 2nd-round games of the men's tournament in 2025, as well as a regional for Sweet 16 and Elite 8 games in the 2022 women's tournament. The arena was scheduled to host the 2021 tournament, until the NCAA announced all games would be held at the state of Indiana due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On December 29, 2018, the UFC announced that Intrust Bank Arena would host the first ever UFC event held in Kansas.

Riverfront Stadium is a baseball park in downtown Wichita, Kansas, United States. It serves as the home ballpark of the Wichita Wind Surge of the Texas League. The team relocated from the New Orleans suburb of Metairie, Louisiana, after the 2019 season.Riverfront Stadium has a total seating capacity of 10,025 people with 6,000 in fixed seating in addition to luxury suites and a grass berm in right field. When not used for baseball, the city plans to use the facility for sports festivals, high school football, concerts, and an ice rink in winter. The new ballpark will share hosting of the National Baseball Congress World Series (NBC World Series) with Eck Stadium at Wichita State.

Lawrence–Dumont Stadium, previously known as Lawrence Stadium, was a baseball stadium in Wichita, Kansas, United States. It was located on the northwest corner of McLean Boulevard and Maple Street, along the west bank of the Arkansas River, in the Delano neighborhood of downtown Wichita. The stadium held 6,400 fans and most recently was the home field of the Wichita Wingnuts independent baseball team from 2008 until 2018, and was home to the annual National Baseball Congress World Series from 1935 until 2018.The city of Wichita tore down Lawrence-Dumont Stadium to build a new stadium for the Wichita Wind Surge, who relocated from New Orleans in 2020. The new stadium is named Riverfront Stadium.
