Bushey Rose Garden

Bushey is a town in the Hertsmere borough of Hertfordshire in the East of England. It has a population of over 25,000 inhabitants. Bushey Heath is a large neighbourhood south east of Bushey on the boundary with the London Borough of Harrow reaching elevations of 165 metres (541 ft) above sea level.

Lululaund was the Romanesque Revival-style house and studio of the Bavarian-born British artist Hubert von Herkomer, in Melbourne Road, Bushey, Hertfordshire. It was designed about 1886 and completed by 1894. The house was demolished in 1939.The exterior design was developed from a sketch by the American architect Henry Hobson Richardson and was the only example of his work in Europe. It was an influence on the work of English architect Charles Harrison Townsend.

Bushey Studios was a British film studio located in Melbourne Road, Bushey, Hertfordshire which operated between 1913 and 1985. The studios were built by the film enthusiast Hubert von Herkomer in the grounds of his country house, Lululaund. They gradually took on a more professional air and in 1915 they were acquired by the British Actors Film Company for use as their principal production base. After the company ran into problems, the studio was closed during much of the 1920s. During the 1930s film boom, it was re-opened and used to produce a number of quota quickies.After the Second World War, the studios were used intermittently - generally to produce low-budget films such as the Tod Slaughter vehicle The Greed of William Hart (1948). It went on to produce documentaries and sex comedies before its closure. At the time of its closure, it was the oldest operational film studio in the world.

Bushey Museum is in Bushey, Hertfordshire. It was officially opened as a volunteer-run museum in October 1993, having achieved Full Registration with the Museums and Galleries Commission. In the week prior to opening, the Museum won joint first prize in the prestigious Gulbenkian Foundation Awards for the best achievement by museums operating with limited resources. The building, on Rudolph Road in Bushey, had been built in 1909 as the offices of Bushey Urban District Council, and had passed to Hertsmere Borough Council on local government reorganisation in 1974.

St Margaret's School is an independent boarding and day school co-educational aged 2–18 in Bushey, Hertfordshire. As well as day places, the school offers boarding options for pupils from year 7 (age 11) and is situated in 60 acres (240,000 m2) of countryside close to London. The school is currently in the process of becoming co-educational. There are currently male students in the junior school, and in sixth form. St Margaret's is planning to go fully co-educational by 2022.

Falconer School is a secondary school catering to students with special needs (primarily learning disabilities or those diagnosed with social, emotional and mental health - SEMH difficulties). Falconer is situated in Hertfordshire and provides day education for pupils that attend. The school was founded in 1974, in Bushey, Hertfordshire.

The Grange Academy is a co-educational secondary school and sixth form located in Bushey in the English county of Hertfordshire.

Bushey Meads School (also known as "BMS") is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in Bushey, Hertfordshire, England. The school forms part of the Bushey St James Trust, in partnership with Little Reddings Primary School and Hartsbourne Primary School.

The Royal Masonic School for Boys was an English independent school for boys at Bushey in Hertfordshire.

Oxhey is a suburb of Watford, under the jurisdiction of the Watford Borough Council of the county of Hertfordshire, England. It is located at grid reference TQ125955 and is part of the Watford. It is in the Oxhey Ward of Watford Borough Council. Oxhey grew during the mid-19th century with the coming of the London and Birmingham Railway from London Euston to Boxmoor in 1837, the settlement being developed to house railway workers. The line was completed to Birmingham in 1838. It was originally called 'New Bushey', after the well-established village a mile away, but was renamed 'Oxhey' in 1907. Oxhey's parish church is St Matthew's, a Grade II listed building dating from 1880 in Gothic Revival style with some elements of early Art Nouveau decoration. The church also features a Karl Parsons window in the Lady Chapel.Oxhey Grange in Oxhey Lane was built in 1876 by architect William Young (1843-1900) in the High Victorian Gothic style. It is a Grade II listed building. The wider locations which comprise the modern Oxhey area are Oxhey Village (the area around Bushey station and between Pinner Road and London Road), Oxhey Hall (the area along Hampermill Lane towards Moor Park) and South Oxhey, although this is really a suburb in itself which is adjacent to Oxhey. It is an oddity that the main line station, which serves both Oxhey and the town of Bushey a mile away, is situated on the edge of Oxhey Village and yet is called Bushey Station. The original name of the station was 'Bushey', it was renamed 'Bushey & Oxhey' when Oxhey Village was renamed, and was then renamed again in 1974.

Merry Hill is a 76 hectare partly wooded area in Hertfordshire, England, managed by the Woodland Trust. To the north is Oxhey and Bushey, to the west is South Oxhey and Carpenders Park, to the south is Hatch End and Harrow Weald, and to the north-west is Bushey Heath. The Woodland Trust acquired part of the site in 1996, and carried out tree-planting; part of the new woodland has been given the name Little Hartsbourne Wood. In 1998 the Trust took a lease on another area which has been planted with fruit trees.Merry Hill is also the name of a southwestern area of Bushey town.

Queens' School, near Watford, Hertfordshire, is a partially selective secondary school and sixth form with academy status. It currently is a specialist science and sports college.
