Karingamthuruth is a small village in the taluk of North Paravoor, in the Ernakulam district of Kerala, India.

St. Philomena's Forane Church, popularly known as Koonammavu Church is situated in Koonammavu, a northern suburban town of Kochi City of Kerala state, India. This is one of the oldest Roman Catholic churches in India, built in 1837 AD. Even though the church is dedicated to the Virgin Philomena, Saint Chavara Achan's feast is celebrated in every year as the annual festival, a nine-day festival lasting from 26 December to 3 January along with Holy Christmas and the New Year. Parayakadu, Ernakulam is also known as Parayad or Parayakad within the Chittatukara Village Panchayat, North Paravur Paravur Taluk, Ernakulam district, Kerala, India. There is also a village known as Parayakad in Alappuzha (Alleppey) district under Kuthiathode grama panchayat and Cherthala taluk.

The Dakshina Mookambika Temple is a famous Saraswati temple in the town of North Paravur in the Ernakulam district of Kerala. The presiding deity in this temple is Saraswati and sub-deities are Ganapathy, Subrahmanyan, Mahavishnu, Yakshi, Hanuman and Veerabhadran. A shrine devoted to Yakshi is at the southwest corner. The sanctum sanctorum is in the midst of a lotus pool. According to legends, Thampuran (ruler) of Paravur was a great devotee of Goddess Mookambika. He used to visit the Kollur temple in Mangalore every year to pay homage to the goddess. When he became old, his health worsened and he could no longer undertake the long journey to Kollur. The goddess appeared to the sad devotee in a dream and ordered him to build her idol near his palace so that he can have daily darshan of her. Thampuran followed her instructions, built a temple at Paravur and installed the Goddess.

Panayikulam is a small village which falls in the Alangad Grama Panchayat, Paravur Taluk, Kerala, India. It is just near to Aluva town. The people here mainly rely on agriculture. Panayikulam is well known for the cultivation of Snap Melon (Pottuvellari). Panayikulam is home to a lot of Non Resident Indians.

Alangad is a village located in Paravur Taluk of Ernakulam District in the Indian state of Kerala. It lies almost in the middle of North Paravur and Aluva. The Kochi city is 15 km away from Alangad.

Veeranpuzha വീരന്‍പൂഴ is a lake in Kochi, Kerala, India. It is the northern extension of Vembanad Lake. From Kochi Azhi to Munambam Azhi, the Vembanad lake is popularly known as "Veeranpuzha". In the early 1980s there were regular ferry services from Munambam to Ernakulam. The area has large paddy fields devoid of human habitation. Non-availability of fresh water is a reason for lack of dense human settlements. Veeranpuzha was also known as Kadakkarakkayal കടക്കരക്കായല്‍

North Paravur. formerly known as Paravur or Parur, is a municipality in Ernakulam district in the Indian state of Kerala. It is a northern suburb of the city of Kochi and is situated around 20 km from the city centre. It is also the first place in India to use electronic voting machine during the by-elections in 1982.

Kadamakkudy Islands is an island suburb of the city of Kochi in the Indian state of Kerala. It is situated around 8 km (6 mi) north of the city centre.

Lakshmi College is one of the largest parallel colleges in Kerala, India with more than three thousand students. This college was founded in the 1980s by an enterprising trio of teachers Jose, Davis and Pearson. From its humble beginnings in a rented space on the upper storey of a house in the village of Moothakunnam, the college has expanded and is now situated near the Amman Kovil temple at Paravoor. Saint Thomas Jacobite Syrian church, also known as Paravur Cheriyapally, is a Syrian Orthodox church located in North Paravur, India. This church was constructed in AD 1566 in the midst of the seven bazaars of Paravur town by the parishioners of the ancient Kottakkavu Paravur Valiapally with the monetary aid from the local Tharakan households. The church houses the tomb of famous Syrian Orthodox prelate Gregorios Abdul Jaleel and has staged consecrations of various prelates of the Jacobite Syrian Church since then.

Not to be confused with Nedungadu Nedungad is a small island located in the Ernakulam district of Kerala state, in southern India. It is located in the east side of Nayarambalam.
