Veeranpuzha വീരന്‍പൂഴ is a lake in Kochi, Kerala, India. It is the northern extension of Vembanad Lake. From Kochi Azhi to Munambam Azhi, the Vembanad lake is popularly known as "Veeranpuzha". In the early 1980s there were regular ferry services from Munambam to Ernakulam. The area has large paddy fields devoid of human habitation. Non-availability of fresh water is a reason for lack of dense human settlements. Veeranpuzha was also known as Kadakkarakkayal കടക്കരക്കായല്‍

Not to be confused with Nedungadu Nedungad is a small island located in the Ernakulam district of Kerala state, in southern India. It is located in the east side of Nayarambalam.

Pizhala is an island village, one among the fourteen islands of Kadamakkudy archipelago, located near to the main land of the city Ernakulam. The island is surrounded by tributaries of river Periyar. Pizhala island is part of Kadamakkudy village of Kanayannur taluk in Ernakulam district in the state of Kerala, India. Pizhala island was formed during the great floods of Periyar happened during 1341 CE, which choked the Muziris port (near Pattanam, N. Paravur), one of the greatest ports in Ancient World.There is an argument that the name Pizhala is derived from the Portuguese words paz na ilha, which mean 'peace on island'.

The Word " Moolampilly" is derived from the Portuguese word " Molambo" means Rag. The Portuguese people created the christian community in moolampilly island. Portuguese heritage is still over there. Moolampilly is famous for the handmade earthenpots and Tandoori ovens. Moolampilly Kaliman (Clay) Society was formed in 1962.Several residents of Moolampilly were evacuated for the Vallarpadam Transship Container Terminal Project. The State Government settled all outstanding issues regarding the rehabilitation package on 6 June 2011.Four bridges, including the Moolampilly - Pizhala bridge, are to be constructed to connect the islanders to the mainland.

Narakkal a village in the Vypin area situated in Ernakulam district in the Indian state of Kerala.

Perumpilly is a prominent suburb of Njarakkal, on the southern edge of Narakkal Village, bordering Elankunnapuzha Village. The people of the sub-village are mostly Hindu or Christian by belief. People of the Hindu community here belong to many castes, such as Pulaya, Ezhava, Araya, Kudumbi and Nair. But Christians here in this community belong to different denominations practising different rites like Catholics, prominently represented by Latin Catholics and Syrian Catholics. A few Protestant believers also live here.

St. Philomena's Forane Church, popularly known as Koonammavu Church is situated in Koonammavu, a northern suburban town of Kochi City of Kerala state, India. This is one of the oldest Roman Catholic churches in India, built in 1837 AD. Even though the church is dedicated to the Virgin Philomena, Saint Chavara Achan's feast is celebrated in every year as the annual festival, a nine-day festival lasting from 26 December to 3 January along with Holy Christmas and the New Year. Chittoor Sree Krishnaswamy Temple, located at South Chittoor in the city of Kochi, Kerala, India, is a temple dedicated to Lord Krishna. It is a major temple under the Cochin Devaswom Board. For centuries the temple was closely associated with the Kartha family of Cheranelloor Swaroopam and was later taken over by Rama Varma Maharaja of Cochin Royal Family. It is a classic example of Kerala temple architecture. The sreekovil or sanctum sanctorum is square in shape, with a pyramidal roof covered with copper plates. Similar to the idol at Guruvayoor, the idol of Lord Krishna faces east in standing posture with 4 arms, carrying the conch named Panchajanyam, Sudarshana Chakra, Lotus and Gada. There is a small shrine of Lord Shiva and Lord Ganesh to the right of the inner sanctum. The outer sanctum is built with tiled roof, houses the temple kitchen, storage and preparation areas. The shrines of Ayyappan, Naga, Brahmarakshas and Bhagavathi are located outside the outer sanctum, but within the complex. The shrine of Lord Hanuman is located outside the west entrance to the complex. The temple pond, called Agnihotratheertham lies to the north of the complex. There is a huge statue of kaaliya mardanam, where Lord Krishna is shown standing on the hood of a huge serpent. This is in reference to the legend of the serpent Kaliya being banished by Lord Krishna.
