Calangute Assembly constituency is one of the 40 Goa Legislative Assembly constituencies of the state of Goa in southern India. Calangute is also one of the 20 constituencies falling under the North Goa Lok Sabha constituency.It is part of North Goa district.

Nagoa is a village in the Bardez sub-district of Goa, and lies between the North Goa headquarters town of Mapusa and the tourist-destination and former fishing village of Calangute. It is not to be mixed-up with a village of the same name which lies in the South Goa sub-district of Salcete.

The peak tourist season is during Christmas and New Year, and during the summer in May. During the monsoon season, from June through September, the sea can be rough and swimming is prohibited. The beach offers water sport activities like parasailing and water skiing, among others.

The Ronil Royale Hotel, opened circa 1987, is located in North Goa, India, and consists of twenty-four rooms. Its name is a portmanteau of Robustiano do Rosario Barreto (RO) and Nilda Souza Xavier Barreto (NIL). There are five partners of the hotel including Donna Nilda, (born 1918–19). As of 2011, the hotel ownership remains with the immediate family of the Barretos, with the youngest of the sons, Advocate Cipriano Barreto, running the hotel as a managing director for the family, with Sanil Costa Frais being the general manager. It is one of the first Goan style hotels in Calangute Baga.

The Museum of Goa (MOG), is a privately owned contemporary art gallery in Pilerne Industrial Estate, near Calangute, Goa, India. Founded in 2015, it is 1,500 square meters in size. It has no permanent collection. It was founded by Goan artist Subodh Kerkar. The museum organises various exhibitions, art courses, plays, residencies, workshops, book readings, lectures, screenings and talks.

Candolim is a census town in North Goa and is located in the Bardez taluka in the state of Goa, India. It is situated just south of Calangute Beach and North of Sinquerim.
