Mark-Twain-Straße

The Bergmannstraße (German pronunciation: [ˈbɛʁkmanˌʃtʁaːsə]) is a street in Munich and lies west of the city center. It leads from Landsberger Straße in the north to Ridlerstraße in the south and is located in the district of Schwanthalerhöhe. The formerly referred to as Sendlinger way road, was named in 1883 after the lawyer, historian and archivist Michael Adam von Bergmann (1733-1783), who was city chief judge starting in 1762 and then became mayor in Munich.

The Karmeliterstraße - often written Karmelitenstraße until the 19th century - is a street in the center of Munich. It is named after the former Karmelitenkirche on the west side of the street.

Munich Heimeranplatz is a railway and Munich U-Bahn interchange station. It sits on the border of two Munich boroughs, Laim and Schwanthalerhöhe. It offers transfer between S-Bahn and U-Bahn as well as local bus services and serves as a transportation hub for the Westend and eastern Laim. The subway runs in a tunnel in a roughly east–west direction, while the S-Bahn's two platforms – a middle platform for the S 7 service and a single-side platform for the S 20 – are situated on an elevated level on an overpass on the Garmischer Straße stretch of Munich's central ring road, the Mittlerer Ring. In the northern direction, the S-Bahn tracks split, with S20 continuing west towards Pasing and S7 continuing east towards Donnersbergerbrücke. The S-Bahn station is located to the west of the subway station, necessitating a short walk alongside an elevated sidewalk.

Schwanthalerhöhe (Central Bavarian: Schwanthalahäh), also called Westend, is a borough of Munich. It is located west of the city center and with a population of about 30,000 on just two square kilometers is one of Munich's most densely populated boroughs.

The Theresienhöhe is a newly created district of Munich. It is part of City districts of Schwanthalerhöhe and Sendling.

Munich Donnersbergerbrücke station is a station with four platform tracks in the Schwanthalerhöhe district of the Bavarian state capital of Munich and a hub of the Munich S-Bahn. Here line S 7 separates towards Wolfratshausen from the S-Bahn trunk line. It is also served by services of the Bayerische Oberlandbahn on the Munich–Holzkirchen railway on the S-Bahn trunk line. The station is located east of the Donnersberger Bridge (German: Donnersbergerbrücke).

Mariä Heimsuchung (Church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary) is a Catholic parish church in Munich, Germany. It was built from 1933 to 1934 in neo-Romanesque style by Oswald Bieber and government architect William Hollweck. The new building was necessary due to the strong growth of the mother parish of St. Rupert. The Visitation of Mary to Elizabeth is shown on the relief over the portal of the church.

The Alte Kongresshalle is a cultural and event center in Munich, Germany.

The Ruhmeshalle (literally "hall of fame") is a Doric colonnade with a main range and two wings, designed by Leo von Klenze for Ludwig I of Bavaria. Built in 1853, it is situated on an ancient ledge above the Theresienwiese in Munich and was built as part of a complex which also includes the Bavariapark and the Bavaria statue. It is built of Kelheim limestone and is 68 metres long and 32 metres deep. With the construction and exhibition of busts of important people from Bavaria, including the Palatinate, Franconia and Swabia, King Ludwig intended to create a hall of fame that honors laudable and distinguished people of his kingdom, as he did also in the Walhalla memorial for all of Germany.
