Nyandi Women's Prison was a correctional facility that became the Boronia Pre-release Centre for Women after its expansion in 2004. Located in Bentley, Western Australia, the prison was originally a juvenile detention centre for girls, and it was later used as a pre-release, low-security facility for women. It housed 50 women when the prison was expanded on the land formerly used by the Longmore Detention Centre. The women were moved to the new buildings when construction was complete in 2004. Since it closed as a prison, it is now used as the Corrective Services Academy for training Corrective Services Staff.

Curtin University, formerly known as Curtin University of Technology and Western Australian Institute of Technology (WAIT), is an Australian public research university based in Bentley, Perth, Western Australia. It is named after John Curtin, Prime Minister of Australia from 1941 to 1945, and is the largest university in Western Australia, with 59,939 students in 2021.Curtin was conferred university status after legislation was passed by the Parliament of Western Australia in 1986. Since then, the university has expanded its presence and has campuses in Singapore, Malaysia, Dubai and Mauritius, and has ties with 90 exchange universities in 20 countries. Boronia Pre-release Centre for Women, opened in May 2004, is a correctional facility located in Bentley, Western Australia. It aims to offer support to low-security women prisoners preparing for reintegration into the community. It was built on the site of the former Longmore juvenile facility, which closed in 1997. Prisoners at Bandyup Women's Prison who have achieved a rating of Minimum Security serve out their sentence at Boronia. By housing them in an environment that closely mirrors life outside of prison it attempts to allow for a less traumatic transition back to normal life. Staff help facilitate training of the prisoners and try to arrange employment on their release in conjunction with local businesses as a measure to prevent recidivism.

The Western Australian Herbarium is the State Herbarium in Perth, Western Australia. It is part of the State government's Department of Parks and Wildlife, and has responsibility for the description and documentation of the flora of Western Australia. It has the Index Herbariorum code of PERTH.The Hebarium forms part of the Australasian Virtual Herbarium. The Herbarium is linked to the Western Australian 'Regional Herbaria Network' – which links approximately 84 regional community groups which have local reference collections. In 2000, with the Wildflower Society of Western Australia and the Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority it published The Western Australian Flora – A Descriptive Catalogue.

Canning College is a specialist international education institution delivering programs that provide international students with pathways into universities. It delivers programs for Year 10, Year 11, Year 12 (WA Certificate of Education and WA Universities' Foundation Program), Certificate IV (in University Access Program) and Diploma of Commerce. Canning College is located on Marquis Street in Bentley, a suburb situated seven kilometres (four miles) south-east of Perth, Western Australia. Established in 1982 by the WA Department of Education, the college initially provided secondary and tertiary-preparation education for domestic and fee-paying international students completing senior secondary programs or their equivalent. Since 2019 the college has provided education to fee-paying international students only. In 2017, Canning College provided education to approximately 400 international students from approximately twelve countries.

The Pawsey Supercomputing Centre (PSC) is the government-supported high-performance computing national facility located in Perth, Western Australia. Pawsey supports researchers in Western Australia and across Australia through the Pawsey Centre (facility). Pawsey is an unincorporated joint venture between the CSIRO, Curtin University, Edith Cowan University, Murdoch University and the University of Western Australia. Funding comes from the joint venture partners, the Western Australian Government and the Australian Government. Pawsey services are free to members of the joint venture. Free access to supercomputers is also available to researchers across Australia via a competitive merit process. Services are also provided to industry and government. Pawsey provides infrastructure to support a computational research workflow. This includes supercomputers and cloud computing, data storage and visualisation. The infrastructure is located at the joint venture members, linked by a dedicated high speed network. Pawsey is an integral component of the Australian Square Kilometre Array Pathfinder (ASKAP) and the Murchison Widefield Array (MWA) radio astronomy telescopes. A dedicated network links the telescopes directly to the Pawsey Centre, where the data is processed, stored and remotely visualised. This network is operated by AARNet, with the Perth-Geraldton link funded by the Australian Government Regional Blackspot Program.
