Curtin University

Curtin College is an Australian tertiary education provider located on the main campus of Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia. The college is the integrated pathway provider to Curtin University. Curtin College is a registered training organization under the Training Accreditation Council (WA) to run the college's Certificate IV in Foundation Studies (NTIS code 51879). The college is also registered under the Department of Education Services WA (DESWA) to run its diploma programs. Curtin College is registered as a Higher Education Provider approved by the Australian government's Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR). As guided by the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act 2000, Curtin College is registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students with CRICOS Provider Code 02042G. Its registered name is Colleges of Business and Technology (WA) Pty Ltd trading as Curtin College. Curtin College recently commenced delivering pathway programs in Certificate IV in Business, Diploma of Commerce and Diploma of Arts & Creative Industries for Curtin Singapore as well, which are taught in classrooms on the Curtin University Campus in Singapore.

Curtin Radio is a radio station based in Perth. The station broadcasts from studios at the Bentley campus at Curtin University. As well as broadcasting on radio, the station also broadcasts digitally on CurtinDG as well as live-streaming via their website.

Boronia Pre-release Centre for Women, opened in May 2004, is a correctional facility located in Bentley, Western Australia. It aims to offer support to low-security women prisoners preparing for reintegration into the community. It was built on the site of the former Longmore juvenile facility, which closed in 1997. Prisoners at Bandyup Women's Prison who have achieved a rating of Minimum Security serve out their sentence at Boronia. By housing them in an environment that closely mirrors life outside of prison it attempts to allow for a less traumatic transition back to normal life. Staff help facilitate training of the prisoners and try to arrange employment on their release in conjunction with local businesses as a measure to prevent recidivism.

Nyandi Women's Prison was a correctional facility that became the Boronia Pre-release Centre for Women after its expansion in 2004. Located in Bentley, Western Australia, the prison was originally a juvenile detention centre for girls, and it was later used as a pre-release, low-security facility for women. It housed 50 women when the prison was expanded on the land formerly used by the Longmore Detention Centre. The women were moved to the new buildings when construction was complete in 2004. Since it closed as a prison, it is now used as the Corrective Services Academy for training Corrective Services Staff.

Perth Hockey Stadium is Western Australia's premier hockey facility, with two world-class synthetic turf pitches, a large bar and canteen area and a function centre all available to the public. The venue holds up to 6,000 fans. The Perth Hockey Stadium (PHS) is located at the Curtin University in the south eastern suburb of Bentley, Western Australia. PHS played host to the 1985 Champions Trophy and also the 2002 Women's Hockey World Cup. In recent years PHS hosted several Internationals matches and the very successful International 9's Super Series in 2011 and 2012. The stadium is home to the offices of Hockey WA and the Hockey Australia High Performance Programme (including the Hockeyroos and the Kookaburras). Until the end of 2012 the Western Australian Institute of Sport (WAIS) hockey programme was based at PHS.

Canning College is a specialist international education institution delivering programs that provide international students with pathways into universities. It delivers programs for Year 10, Year 11, Year 12 (WA Certificate of Education and WA Universities' Foundation Program), Certificate IV (in University Access Program) and Diploma of Commerce. Canning College is located on Marquis Street in Bentley, a suburb situated seven kilometres (four miles) south-east of Perth, Western Australia. Established in 1982 by the WA Department of Education, the college initially provided secondary and tertiary-preparation education for domestic and fee-paying international students completing senior secondary programs or their equivalent. Since 2019 the college has provided education to fee-paying international students only. In 2017, Canning College provided education to approximately 400 international students from approximately twelve countries.

Technology Park Bentley is Australia’s second oldest technology park. It opened in 1985. In 1987 the Western Precinct was opened, housing the Australian Resources Research Centre (ARRC). Clontarf Aboriginal College is a co-educational Aboriginal college for indigenous youth aged between 15 and 18 years, located in the Perth suburb of Waterford in Western Australia. Since 2000 the college has also been the centre for the Clontarf Football Academy run by the Clontarf Foundation a program of Australian rules football for indigenous youth. Opening in 1901, the facility has been used for a number of purposes since, most notably as an orphanage for boys operated by the Christian Brothers organisation; and also as a convent and as a day and boarding school. During World War II it was used as a training school for the Royal Australian Air Force. Through its history, it has housed and educated day boys and boarders, orphans, vagrants, children from disadvantaged families, child migrants and Aboriginal children. In recent years the college chapel has been home to a small Serbian religious community (St Basil of Ostrog) belonging to the Serbian Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia and New Zealand.

The Western Australian Herbarium is the State Herbarium in Perth, Western Australia. It is part of the State government's Department of Parks and Wildlife, and has responsibility for the description and documentation of the flora of Western Australia. It has the Index Herbariorum code of PERTH.The Hebarium forms part of the Australasian Virtual Herbarium. The Herbarium is linked to the Western Australian 'Regional Herbaria Network' – which links approximately 84 regional community groups which have local reference collections. In 2000, with the Wildflower Society of Western Australia and the Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority it published The Western Australian Flora – A Descriptive Catalogue.
