Queanbeyan ( KWEEN-bee-ən) is a city in the south-eastern region of New South Wales, Australia, located adjacent to the Australian Capital Territory in the Southern Tablelands region. Located on the Queanbeyan River, the city is the council seat of the Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council. At the 2021 census, the Queanbeyan part of the Canberra–Queanbeyan built-up area had a population of 37,511.Queanbeyan's economy is based on light construction, manufacturing, service, retail and agriculture. Canberra, Australia's capital, is located 15 kilometres (9 miles) to the west, and Queanbeyan is a commuter town. The word Queanbeyan is the anglicised form of Quinbean, an Aboriginal word meaning "clear waters".

Byrnes Mill and Millhouse is a heritage-listed former flour mill and residence at Morrisett Street, Queanbeyan, Queanbeyan-Palerang Region, New South Wales, Australia. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

Hibernia Lodge is a heritage-listed residence at 69 Collett Street, Queanbeyan, Queanbeyan-Palerang Region, New South Wales, Australia. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999 and the former Register of the National Estate on 28 May 1996.

Queanbeyan City Football Club is an Australian amateur association football club based in the NSW city of Queanbeyan, Australia. The club was founded in 1966 and currently competes in ACT competitions including the ACT Capital League.

Monaro Panthers FC (formerly known as Inter Monaro SC) is an Australian soccer club based in the city of Queanbeyan, New South Wales. The club was founded in 1967, and currently competes in the National Premier Leagues Capital Football in the Australian Capital Territory. Monaro Panthers is a club that represents and caters for the Monaro regional area as a whole including Queanbeyan, Jerrabomberra, Canberra, Googong, Bungendore, Sutton, Michelago and the South Coast of NSW. The club fields teams in both men's and women's from the elite NPL level and recreational seniors to juniors and mini roos.

St Stephen's Presbyterian Church and Manse, also known as Queanbeyan Presbyterian Church, is a heritage-listed Presbyterian church and manse at 2 Morisset Street, Queanbeyan, New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by Alberto Dias Soares (church) and James Barnet (manse) and built from 1872 to 1883 by Thomas Priest (stonemason), Thomas Jordan (carpenter), John Kealman (carpenter). The property is owned by Presbyterian Church of NSW Property Trust. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 24 May 2019.

Queanbeyan Showground is a heritage-listed showground at 19-41 Farrer Place, Queanbeyan, Queanbeyan-Palerang Region, New South Wales, Australia. The property is owned by Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 15 March 2013.

Rusten House, now known as Rusten House Art Centre, is a heritage-listed former hospital and nurses' dormitory at Antill Street, Queanbeyan, Queanbeyan-Palerang Region, New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by W. H. Downey and built from 1859 to 1862 by Daniel Jordan and Gibson. It is the Old Queanbeyan Hospital and the Nurses Dormitory. It now hosts local and touring exhibitions as well as community and private events. It is owned by the Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

Queanbeyan District Hospital is an acute care public hospital servicing the City of Queanbeyan in New South Wales, Australia. The hospital is located on the corner of Erin and Collett streets and is operated by the Southern New South Wales Local Health District. The facility incorporates general medical, surgical and specialist services. A major $51 million redevelopment of the facility was completed in 2009, including construction of a modern 10,400 m2 (112,000 sq ft) main hospital building.

Seiffert Oval is an enclosed rectangular playing field in Queanbeyan, New South Wales. It has a grass playing surface and an official capacity of 15,000, 1,500 of which is seated capacity in the grandstand. The oval boasts lighting, toilets, kiosk, a food outlet, home and away change rooms and car parking facilities. The oval has been used for rugby league, soccer, and rugby union, and is currently the home ground for the Queanbeyan Blues. The oval is owned and managed by the Queanbeyan–Palerang Regional Council. The ground record crowd was set on 18 June 1989 when 18,272 fans turned out in Round 12 of the 1989 NSWRL season to see the Canberra Raiders defeat the Brisbane Broncos 27–6.

Kawaree is a heritage-listed former residence and parsonage at 3 Tharwa Road, Queanbeyan, Queanbeyan-Palerang Region, New South Wales, Australia. It was built from 1886 to 1889. The property is owned by Mount Warrigal Retirement Village Ltd. It now forms part of the Warrigal Community Village Queanbeyan aged care facility, in which it is used as a community space. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

Karabar is a suburb of Queanbeyan, New South Wales. It is at the southern part of the developed area of Queanbeyan—-bordering the suburbs of Queanbeyan East, Jerrabomberra, Googong and Queanbeyan. The eastern border of the suburb is defined by the Queanbeyan River. As well as a shopping centre it contains netball courts, several ovals and public high and primary schools. It is dominated by Mount Jerrabomberra, which overlooks the suburb. At the 2021 census, Karabar had a population of 8,517 people. The Karabar High School and Distance Education Centre is a state public high school for years 7 to 12, located in Karabar. The distance education centre serves students who are unable to attend school because of geographic isolation, illness, vocational talent, religious and other reasons, in the southern part of NSW as well as Australians living overseas and students from smaller private and state high schools that are unable to offer specialist subjects such as languages, extension mathematics and software design and development. The high school provides education for students in academic, vocational and employment streams leading to the award of the NSW Higher School Certificate. A specialist program for gifted and talented students called the Selective Extension Program draws students from throughout the district and the ACT. The Karabar marching band, "The Namadgi Redbacks" tours internationally every two years. The Primary School, Queanbeyan South is over the fence from Karabar High. Queanbeyan South is a public school for pre-school to year 6.
