Jabłów [ˈjabwuf] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Stare Bogaczowice, within Wałbrzych County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.It lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) south of Stare Bogaczowice, 9 kilometres (6 mi) west of Wałbrzych, and 72 kilometres (45 mi) south-west of the regional capital Wrocław.

Sobięcin ([sɔˈbjɛnt͡ɕin]; German: Hermsdorf, pronounced [ˈhɛʁmsˌdɔʁf] ; until 1929 "Niederhermsdorf", also "Nieder Hermsdorf") is part of Wałbrzych (German: "Waldenburg") in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in Poland. Before 1950 Sobięcin was an independent rural community.

It was opened on 9 November 2014 after a major expansion of the Museum of Industry and Technology located there since 1999. The Old Mine Science and Art Centre was included in 2015 on the list of the European Route of Industrial Heritage (ERIH).

Struga [ˈstruɡa] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Stare Bogaczowice, within Wałbrzych County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in southwestern Poland. It is approximately 6 kilometres (4 mi) southeast of Stare Bogaczowice, 6 kilometres (4 mi) northwest of Wałbrzych, and 66 kilometres (41 mi) southwest of the regional capital Wrocław. The village borders with the spa town of Szczawno-Zdrój in the east. It is located within the historic region of Lower Silesia. Among the historic architecture of Struga are the Church of Our Lady of Sorrows, dating back to the 14th century, and an 18th-century palace. The village is known as the site of the Battle of Struga, fought on May 15, 1807, in which the Poles defeated a much larger Prussian army.

Grzędy [ˈɡʐɛndɨ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Czarny Bór, within Wałbrzych County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. It lies within the Central Sudetes, approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) south of Czarny Bór, 11 kilometres (7 mi) west of Wałbrzych, and 76 kilometres (47 mi) south-west of the regional capital Wrocław. The nearby Wojaczów Castle was erected at the behest of the Silesian duke Bolko I the Strict in the 13th century. Then meant as a fortress of his Duchy of Jawor near the border with Bohemia, it became less important after the Jawor line of the Silesian Piasts became extinct and their territories were incorporated into the Lands of the Bohemian Crown in 1368.
