The NoMad

The 28th Street station is a local station on the BMT Broadway Line of the New York City Subway, located at 28th Street and Broadway in Manhattan. It is served by the R train at all times except late nights, the W train on weekdays, the N train during late nights and weekends and the Q train during late nights.

The Baudouine Building is a historic building at 1181-1183 Broadway at the corner of West 28th Street in the NoMad neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City. It was built from 1895-96 as an office tower with street level store, replacing a hotel that had previously stood on the site, and was designed by Alfred Zucker in the Classical Revival style. The building is notable for having a small Greco-Roman temple at the top, called "a little Parnassus in the sky" by chairwoman Sherida E. Paulsen of the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission It has extensive decorative motifs including escutcheons of anthemions with lion heads over many windows. The Baudouine Building, which also carries the address 22 West 28th Street, lies within the Madison Square North Historic District created by the Commission in 2001.

Hotel Victoria was built by Paran Stevens in 1877 in Manhattan, New York City, New York. Occupying the entire block on 27th Street, Broadway and Fifth Avenue, it was the only hotel in the city with entrances on both the latter thoroughfares. The hotel was owned by the American Hotel Victoria Company. George W. Sweeney served as president and Angus Gordon was manager. In 1911, it was announced that the hotel had been redecorated, renovated, and refurnished at a cost of $250,000. Room options included without bath, with bath, and suites with rates ranging between $1.50 and $6.00 per day. Accommodations were available for 500 guests.The hotel closed its doors on February 26, 1914. The furnishings were sold at auction the same day. The demolition was to make way for an office and loft building on the site after the hotel was torn down.

The Everard Baths or Everard Spa Turkish Bathhouse was a gay bathhouse at 28 West 28th Street in New York City that operated from 1888 to 1986. The venue occupied an adaptively reused church building and was the site of a deadly fire.

The Madison Square North Historic District is in Manhattan, New York City, and was created on June 26, 2001 by the city's Landmarks Preservation Commission.Lying north and west of Madison Square Park, the district's boundaries are irregular. The main southern boundary is 26th Street between Madison Avenue almost to the Avenue of the Americas ("Sixth Avenue"), but a portion of 25th Street, from Fifth Avenue to somewhat west of Broadway, is included. On the north, the district goes no further than 29th Street, but portions of it stop at 28th Street or between 27th Street and 28th Street. From east to west, the district is entirely between Madison and Sixth Avenues, without encompassing the entirety of any of these blocks. According to the Commission's Designation Report, the District: consists of approximately 96 buildings representing the period of New York City's commercial history from the 1870s to the 1930s when this section prospered, first, as a major entertainment district of hotels, clubs, stores and apartment buildings, and then, as a mercantile district of high-rise office and loft structures. ... [T]he district also contains numerous row houses, Art-Deco style towers, as well as modest twentieth-century commercial structures, all of which testify to each successive phase in [the] area's development. The Historic District lies primarily within the Manhattan neighborhood known as NoMad, for "NOrth of MADison Square Park".

NoMad ("North of Madison Square Park"), also known as Madison Square North, is a neighborhood centered on the Madison Square North Historic District in the borough of Manhattan in New York City. The name NoMad, which has been in use since 1999, is derived from the area’s location north of Madison Square Park. The neighborhood is bordered by East 25th Street to the south, East 29th or East 30th Street to the north, Sixth Avenue (Avenue of the Americas) to the west and Madison or Lexington Avenue to the east. The surrounding neighborhoods are Chelsea to the west, Midtown South to the northwest, Murray Hill to the northeast, Rose Hill to the east, and the Flatiron District to the south. NoMad is part of Manhattan Community District 5.

Tosi owns the chain with the Manhattan-based Momofuku restaurant group; Momofuku does not control the operations of Milk Bar.Tosi is the primary creator of Milk Bar's products. Milk Bar makes custom wedding cakes, produces their own line of baking mixes, and ships baked goods internationally. Fifth Avenue Theatre was a Broadway theatre in New York City in the United States located at 31 West 28th Street and Broadway (1185 Broadway). It was demolished in 1939. Built in 1868, it was managed by Augustin Daly in the mid-1870s. In 1877, it became the first air-conditioned theatre in the world. In 1879, it presented the world premiere of The Pirates of Penzance by Gilbert and Sullivan and the New York premiere of H.M.S. Pinafore, followed by other Gilbert and Sullivan operas throughout the 1880s. The theatre continued to present both plays and musicals through the end of the century. At the beginning of the 20th century, the theatre presented English classics and then vaudeville, and later films, as well as plays and musicals.

Princess Theatre was a Broadway theatre located at 29th Street and Broadway in Manhattan, New York City.Built as a billiard parlor, the theatre was first named San Francisco Minstrels Music Hall in 1875, where it presented minstrel shows. After this, it was renamed several times, including Hermann's Gaiety Theatre, Jack's Theatre, Theatre Comique and Jonah Theatre. In 1902, the Shuberts leased it and renamed it the Princess Theatre.The building was demolished and made into retail shops in 1907.
