WHBO (1040 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to Pinellas Park, Florida, and serving the Tampa Bay area. The station is currently owned by Genesis Communications and it airs a sports radio format, branded as "Sports Talk Florida." Much of the programming comes from Fox Sports Radio with some added content from NBC Sports Radio and CBS Sports Radio.WHBO is powered at 3,600 watts non-directional by day. But because AM 1040 is a clear channel frequency reserved for WHO Des Moines, WHBO must reduce power at night and switch to a directional antenna. Its nighttime power is currently 420 watts but it has a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) construction permit to increase nighttime power to 700 watts.

The station airs an ethnic radio format featuring shows in Greek, Spanish and other languages. It sells blocks of brokered time to hosts who then seek advertising support from their communities.

Lake Seminole is a freshwater lake in urban Pinellas County in the U.S. state of Florida. The lake is located in the city of Seminole, about 20 miles (32 km) west of Tampa. Lake Seminole is the second largest lake in Pinellas County (after Lake Tarpon), with a surface area of 700 acres (2.8 km2).Once a tidal estuary, Lake Seminole was created in the 1940s by closing the upper portion of Long Bayou. Lake Seminole's watershed is unusually small for a lake of its size, draining only approximately 5.5 miles of the county, in mostly developed Seminole and Largo. Historically the watershed was much larger than its current limits, but was altered in the early 1970s to divert runoff into Long Bayou for flood relief. Due to the low volume of water, and the nutrient and pollutant rich drainage from the urbanized area surrounding the lake, water quality has been a concern, with the county developing the Lake Seminole Watershed Management Plan to protect water quality and habitat. On the east shore of Lake Seminole is Lake Seminole Park, a 250 acre county park that provides year-round public access to the lake. Popular activities on the lake include boating, jet skiing, water-skiing, and fishing. The park is also popular with families and nature enthusiasts, and includes a two-mile multi-use trail that winds through pine flat woods, a softball field, and volleyball courts.

Keswick Christian School is a private, pre-Kindergarten-twelfth grade, Christian school in the outlying area of St. Petersburg, Florida. It was founded as Grace Livingston Hill Memorial School in 1953. It had an enrollment of around 650 students in 2007. It has an interdenominational student body, mostly of Protestant background. The campus spans 30 acres (12 ha), set among tall oak trees reminiscent of its once rural surroundings, and is about half of a mile outside Seminole, Florida, whose city council annexed the school into its city limits in 2000. The school is accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

The Bay Pines Veterans Administration Home and Hospital Historic District is a U.S. historic district located at 10000 Bay Pines Blvd. in Bay Pines, Florida. The district contains prehistoric aboriginal sites and fourteen Mediterranean Revival style hospital buildings constructed from the 1930s. The district is home to the Bay Pines Veterans Affairs Medical Center, a general medical and surgical hospital with 396 beds. It is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 27, 2012.

Florida's 13th congressional district is an electoral district for the U.S. Congress and was reassigned in 2012, effective January 2013, to Pinellas County. This district includes St. Petersburg, Largo, and Clearwater. During 2003–2012, it encompassed all of Sarasota, DeSoto, and Hardee counties and most of Manatee County except for a small northern coastal portion that was then located in the neighboring 11th Congressional District. It also included a small section of Charlotte County. Most of that district is now the 16th district, while the current 13th covers most of what had been the 10th District from 1993 to 2013. The district is currently represented by Democrat Charlie Crist.

The Bay Pines Site is a historic site in Bay Pines, Florida. It is located on the property of the Veterans' Administration Medical Center in Bay Pines. On February 23, 1983, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
