South Harewood is a hamlet and civil parish in the Test Valley district of Hampshire, England. At the 2011 Census the population according to the Post Office was included in the civil parish of Wherwell. Its nearest town is Andover, which lies approximately 2.5 miles (5.7 km) north-west from the hamlet.

Bransbury Common is a 158.6-hectare (392-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest south-east of Andover in Hampshire. It is a Nature Conservation Review site, Grade I.This site has two different habitats. The soil of the common is peat over gravel, and the dominant plants are purple moor-grass and greater tussock-sedge. There is also a former water meadow, which has flowering plants including lady's smock, marsh marigold and early marsh-orchid.

Dead Man's Plack is a Grade-II listed 19th-century monument to Æthelwald, Ealdorman of East Anglia, who, according to legend, was killed in 963 near the site where it stands by his rival in love, King Edgar I. The name is more probably derived from a corruption of "Dudman's Platt", from Dudman — who is recorded as a resident in 1735 — and platt, meaning a plot of land. The monument was erected in 1825 at Harewood Forest, between the villages of Picket Twenty and Longparish, Hampshire, by Lt. Col. William Iremonger.

Longparish is situated on the northwest bank of the River Test. In 2011 the population (including Firgo and Forton) was 716.

Bransbury is a hamlet in Hampshire, England, part of the parish of Barton Stacey. The nearest village is Barton Stacey (where the 2011 census was included), halfway between Winchester and Andover; there is a junction for Bransbury on the A303 towards Exeter. Bransbury has twenty-two dwellings: a collection of agricultural workers’ cottages with gardens of generous proportions, Bransbury Manor, which dates from the 18th century, and Bransbury Mill, a Grade II listed building. The Crook and Shears Inn public house was converted into a dwelling in the late 20th century. The hamlet straddles the River Dever. The road from Barton Stacey to Bransbury is prone to pooling water, because of its position on the flood plain.

Wherwell is a village on the River Test in Hampshire, England. The name may derive from its bubbling springs resulting in the Middle Ages place name “Hwerwyl” noted in AD 955, possibly meaning “kettle springs” or “cauldron springs.” Pronunciation of the name has ranged from “Hurrell” to “Wer-rel” to present-day “Wher-well.”Before the Dissolution, the parish of Wherwell was in the hands of an important abbey of Benedictine nuns, whose abbess was Lady of the Manor of an area much larger than the existing parish. The town is associated with the Cockatrice. The story is that the cockatrice terrorised the village until it was imprisoned in the dungeons below Wherwell Priory. A prize of land was offered to anyone who could kill the creature. None were successful, until a man named Green lowered a mirror into the dungeon. The cockatrice battled against its own reflection until exhausted, at which point Green was able to kill it. Today there is an area of land near Wherwell called Green's Acres. For many years a weather vane in the shape of a cockatrice adorned the church of St. Peter and Holy Cross in Wherwell until it was removed to Andover Museum. Education The village is home to a primary school, Wherwell Primary School.

Chilbolton is a village and civil parish in Hampshire, England, near to Stockbridge. It is situated 18 miles (29 km) north of Southampton and four miles (6.4 km) south of Andover. Its most notable feature is the Chilbolton Observatory situated on the disused RAF Chilbolton airfield. The parish church of St Mary the Less dates back to the 12th century, on the site of an earlier wooden church. The River Test runs through Chilbolton Common. Chilbolton is recorded in the Domesday Book under the name Cilbodentune.
