Pioneer Woman, also known as Joy, Joy (Pioneer Woman), the Laberee Memorial Fountain, Mother/Child and Young Pioneer Woman, is an outdoor 1956 bronze sculpture and drinking fountain by American artist Frederic Littman, located at Council Crest Park in Portland, Oregon.

Council Crest Park is a city park in southwest Portland in the U.S. state of Oregon. Amenities include paved and unpaved paths, a dog off-leash area, picnic tables, public art, a view point, and a wedding site that can be reserved. The 43.51-acre (17.61 ha) park, operated by Portland Parks & Recreation, is open year-round from 5 a.m. to midnight. It was the site of an amusement park from 1907 until 1929.

The Baruh–Zell House, also referred to as the Leo and Olga Baruh House, is a historic house located in Portland, Oregon, United States. Leading Portland residential architect Herman Brookman's design for this 1937 Tudor Revival house was one of his finest achievements. In many of its features, such as curved walls, stripped-down ornamentation, recessed entry, and functionally-oriented rear elevation, it heralds the transition from highly traditional European styles executed on a grand scale to a modernized and simplified reinterpretation of those styles responsive to contemporary technology and preferences. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

Neveh Shalom is a congregation and synagogue affiliated with Conservative Judaism, located in Portland, Oregon, United States. Founded in 1961 from the mergers of three older congregations, it has a membership of over 800 households. The early members of the synagogue were immigrants from Prussia or Poland. Resulting in the nickname "Polisha shul." Despite the synagogue's nickname, it leaned for towards the German styles of Judaism, rather than the Polish one. Neveh Shalom is the second oldest Jewish congregation in the Pacific Northwest and the oldest Conservative congregation on the West Coast.

Healy Heights is a Portland, Oregon neighborhood in the West Hills of the city's Southwest section. Though recognized by the city as a neighborhood in its own right, it lies entirely within the boundaries of the city's Southwest Hills neighborhood. The Oregon Zoo, originally the Portland Zoo and later the Washington Park Zoo, is a zoo located in Washington Park, Portland, Oregon, approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) southwest of downtown Portland. Founded in 1888, it is the oldest zoo west of the Mississippi River.The 64-acre (26 ha) zoo is owned by the regional Metro government. It currently holds more than 1,800 animals of more than 230 species, including 19 endangered species and 9 threatened species. The zoo also boasts an extensive plant collection throughout its animal exhibits and specialized gardens. The zoo also operates and maintains the 2 ft 6 in (762 mm) narrow gauge Washington Park & Zoo Railway that previously connected to the International Rose Test Garden inside the park, but currently runs only within the zoo. The Oregon Zoo is Oregon's largest paid and arguably most popular visitor attraction, with more than 1.6 million visitors in 2016. The zoo is a member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, and the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums.

The John M. and Elizabeth Bates House No. 1 is a historic house in Portland, Oregon, United States. Architect Wade Pipes, a pivotal figure in the Arts and Crafts movement in Oregon, designed the house in the mid-1930s for his close friends John and Elizabeth Bates. Built in 1935, it represents that decade's transition in Pipes' focus from English vernacular exterior elements toward clean lines, rectilinear forms, and minimal decoration. Its interior spaces and details express his devotion to Arts and Crafts principles. John and Elizabeth Bates subsequently commissioned three further houses from him.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.
