Hanau-Wilhelmsbad station

The Herbert Dröse Stadion is an American Football stadium for the Hanau Hornets American football team in Hanau, Germany. It was built in 1951. Capacity of the venue is 16,000. It was used as a venue for the 2003 IFAF World Cup.

Hanau West station is the oldest station in the city of Hanau in the German state of Hesse. It was opened in 1848 and is located on the 17.9 kilometre mark of the Frankfurt Süd–Aschaffenburg railway. Operationally, since the 1970s it has been classified as a Haltepunkt ("halt"). The station is classified by Deutsche Bahn (DB) as a category 5 station.

The Hanau shootings (German: Anschläge in Hanau) occurred on 19 February 2020, when eleven people were killed and five others wounded in a terrorist shooting spree by a far-right extremist targeting a shisha bar, a bar and a kiosk in Hanau, near Frankfurt, Hesse, Germany. After the attacks, the gunman returned to his apartment, where he killed his mother and then committed suicide. The massacre was called an act of terrorism by the German Minister of Internal Affairs.

Steinheim (Main) station is a station on the Frankfurt Schlachthof–Hanau railway in Hanau in the German state of Hesse. The station is classified by Deutsche Bahn (DB) as a category 5 station.

Mühlheim-Dietesheim station is a railway station serving the town of Mühlheim am Main, approximately 13 km to the east of the city of Frankfurt am Main in Hesse, Germany. Its two platforms are served by S-Bahn lines S8 and S9, which run from Wiesbaden in the west to Hanau in the east via Frankfurt Airport, Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof and the city tunnel, and Offenbach Ost. Trains call approximately every half an hour during the day, with more frequent quarter-hourly services during the rush hour. Late in the evenings, early in the mornings, and on Sundays, services are restricted to once an hour in either direction, as other S8 and S9 services terminate at Offenbach Ost instead of Hanau Hauptbahnhof. The Frankfurt–Göttingen railway, built in 1863, runs past Mühlheim-Dietesheim, but no train services on the line call at the station. The station was opened in the mid-1990s, following the completion of the Frankfurt Schlachthof–Hanau railway and the expansion of the Rhine-Main S-Bahn network.

The German Goldsmith's House (in German: Deutsches Goldschmiedehaus) is the former town hall of the old town of Hanau, which has been used as a museum for jewelry and hollowware (not only from Germany) since the beginning of the 20th century. The director since 2006 is Christianne Weber-Stöber, who holds a doctorate in jewelry history.

A British air raid in 1945 created a firestorm, killing one sixth of the remaining population and destroying 98 percent of the old city and 80 percent of the city overall. In 1963, the city hosted the third Hessentag state festival. Until 2005, Hanau was the administrative centre of the Main-Kinzig-Kreis. On 19 February 2020, a gunman attacked two bars and a kiosk in Hanau, murdering nine people with roots outside Germany, before shooting his mother and himself.
