Shreveport Aquarium

The RiverView Theater is a theater located in RiverView Park in Shreveport, Louisiana. It serves as the home of the Shreveport Symphony Orchestra, Shreveport Opera and Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet.

The Shreveport Symphony Orchestra (SSO) is based in Shreveport, the seat of Caddo Parish and the largest city in north Louisiana. The SSO performs most of its concerts in the newly renovated RiverView Theater (formerly Shreveport Civic Theater). Founded in 1948, the symphony remains the longest continually performing professional orchestra in Louisiana. The SSO belongs to the Louisiana Association of Symphony Orchestras (LASO) which was formed in August, 2003. LASO consists of all seven professional orchestras in Louisiana. The mission of the LASO is to promote and facilitate the interchange of ideas, advocate for the support of orchestras in the State, and coordinate collaborative projects in music education and other areas of mutual interest.

Bally's Shreveport Casino & Hotel is a casino hotel in Shreveport, Louisiana. It is owned and operated by Bally's Corporation. The casino has over 1,100 slot machines and 50 live-action table games. The hotel has 403 rooms and in an 18-story tower.

The Long–Allen Bridge is a truss bridge in Bossier City, Louisiana, named for Louisiana governors Huey Long and Oscar K. Allen. Opened in 1933, it carries US 79/US 80 across the Red River. It is also known as the Texas Street Bridge.

Shreveport ( SHREEV-port) is a city in the U.S. state of Louisiana. It is the third-most populous city in Louisiana after New Orleans and Baton Rouge. The bulk of Shreveport is in Caddo Parish, of which it is the parish seat. It extends along the west bank of the Red River into neighboring Bossier Parish. The 2020 census tabulation for the city's population was 187,593, while the Shreveport–Bossier City metropolitan area had a population of 393,406.Shreveport was founded in 1836 by the Shreve Town Company, a corporation established to develop a town at the juncture of the newly navigable Red River and the Texas Trail, an overland route into the newly independent Republic of Texas. Despite these efforts, the city witnessed the largest number of homicides in its recorded history in 2021, eclipsing the previous record set in 1993.Shreveport is the educational, commercial and cultural center of the Ark-La-Tex region, where Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas meet. It is the location of Centenary College of Louisiana, Louisiana State University Shreveport, Louisiana Tech University Shreveport, Southern University at Shreveport, and Louisiana Baptist University. It forms part of the I-20 Cyber Corridor linking Shreveport to Dallas and Atlanta. The Louisiana Boardwalk Outlets is an outdoor shopping center combining retail shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. It is located in Bossier City, Louisiana, between the Horseshoe Bossier City and Margaritaville Resort Casino. It is one of the largest outlet malls in Louisiana.Tenants at the 500,000 square foot (51,000 m2) complex, which opened in May 2005, include Regal Cinemas, Cumulus Broadcasting Studios, Bass Pro Shops, Banana Republic, Justice, and Build-A-Bear Workshop. In addition, there are outlet stores owned by Haggar. There are more than fifty outlet stores, retail stores, restaurants and IMAX.On March 30, 2008, Louisiana Boardwalk put a curfew in effect. No one under 16 is allowed after 8 p.m. unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Louisiana Boardwalk provides a sales tax refund on purchases up to $500 in cash and over $500 by check. Some recent store openings include Under Armour, Rocket Fizz, Express, Pepper Palace and Dollar Tree. The property boasts some of the best restaurants in the area including Hooters, Joe's Crab Shack, Fuddruckers, Sushiko, Saltgrass Steakhouse and IHOP.After the COVID-19 crisis, customer attendance levels dropped significantly and stores began closing. As of May 2023, many tenants have closed their doors, Nike being the most notable one.

Cross Bayou is a 38.0-mile-long (61.2 km) river in Texas and Louisiana. It is a tributary of the Red River, part of the Mississippi River watershed. It rises in southeastern Harrison County, Texas, 15 miles (24 km) southeast of Marshall, and flows east into Caddo Parish, Louisiana. It flows through 8-mile-long (13 km) Cross Lake on the outskirts of Shreveport, and joins the Red River in downtown Shreveport. The latter portion is known as Twelve Mile Bayou, locally spelled Twelvemile Bayou.

The Regions Tower (Regions Bank), formerly AmSouth Tower and before that the Commercial National Bank tower, is a high-rise in Shreveport, Louisiana in the United States. Standing 365 feet (111 meters) tall and containing 25 floors, it is the tallest building in northern Louisiana. It was built in 1986 as the CNB Tower, adjacent to the bank's older building and connected to it by a common lobby. It is currently owned by Plaza Investments II, LLC and managed by Sealy & Company, Inc. of Shreveport. Facilities include a café and concessions, a shoe shine service, and a fitness facility for tenants only. It also includes a conference facility that seats up to 200.

The Petroleum Tower is a 16-story high-rise office building located at 425 Edwards Street at the corner of Texas Street and Edwards Street in Shreveport, Louisiana. It stands at a height of 187 feet, making it currently the seventh-tallest building in Shreveport. It was completed in 1959, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Margaritaville Resort Casino is a casino hotel in Bossier City, Louisiana. It is owned by Vici Properties and operated by Penn Entertainment, and uses its name under license from Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville. The casino has 26,500 square feet (2,460 m2) of gaming space with 1,200 slot machines and 50 table games. The hotel has 395 rooms in an 18-story tower.

Horseshoe Bossier City is a riverboat casino in Bossier City, Louisiana, across the river from Shreveport. Horseshoe Bossier City has 606 suites in its 25-story hotel tower. Horseshoe has over 1,500 slot machines and over 60 table games. Horseshoe has over 200 video poker machines, and a 14-table poker room. The casino is owned by Vici Properties and operated by Caesars Entertainment.In October 2017, ownership of the property was transferred to Vici Properties as part of a corporate spin-off, and it was leased back to Caesars.
