Cross Bayou is a 38.0-mile-long (61.2 km) river in Texas and Louisiana. It is a tributary of the Red River, part of the Mississippi River watershed. It rises in southeastern Harrison County, Texas, 15 miles (24 km) southeast of Marshall, and flows east into Caddo Parish, Louisiana. It flows through 8-mile-long (13 km) Cross Lake on the outskirts of Shreveport, and joins the Red River in downtown Shreveport. The latter portion is known as Twelve Mile Bayou, locally spelled Twelvemile Bayou.

The Long–Allen Bridge is a truss bridge in Bossier City, Louisiana, named for Louisiana governors Huey Long and Oscar K. Allen. Opened in 1933, it carries US 79/US 80 across the Red River. It is also known as the Texas Street Bridge.

The Shreveport Aquarium is an aquarium located in Bossier City, Louisiana, United States. The aquarium is adjacent to the Red River, near the Texas Street Bridge. It holds seven galleries that hold the 3,000 animals in its care, such as sharks, stingrays, eels, seahorses, alligators, paddlefish, snapping turtles and more. It is open all-year to the public, 7 days a week. Features stingray feedings by hand, touch tanks with rays, jellies, starfish, cleaner shrimp, sea cucumbers and more. Shreveport ( SHREEV-port) is a city in the U.S. state of Louisiana. It is the third-most populous city in Louisiana after New Orleans and Baton Rouge. The Shreveport Symphony Orchestra (SSO) is based in Shreveport, the seat of Caddo Parish and the largest city in north Louisiana. The SSO performs most of its concerts in the newly renovated RiverView Theater (formerly Shreveport Civic Theater). Founded in 1948, the symphony remains the longest continually performing professional orchestra in Louisiana. The SSO belongs to the Louisiana Association of Symphony Orchestras (LASO) which was formed in August, 2003. LASO consists of all seven professional orchestras in Louisiana. The mission of the LASO is to promote and facilitate the interchange of ideas, advocate for the support of orchestras in the State, and coordinate collaborative projects in music education and other areas of mutual interest.

The Kansas City Southern Railroad Bridge (Cross Bayou), in downtown Shreveport, Louisiana, is an "A" Truss bridge erected in its current location in 1926 and abandoned in the 1980s. Due to its national significance to the progress of American bridge design, and its rarity as one of only two known surviving examples, the structure was designated a National Historic Place in 1995.

It is one of the largest outlet malls in Louisiana.Tenants at the 500,000 square foot (51,000 m2) complex, which opened in May 2005, include Regal Cinemas, Cumulus Broadcasting Studios, Bass Pro Shops, Banana Republic, Justice, and Build-A-Bear Workshop. In addition, there are outlet stores owned by Haggar. There are more than fifty outlet stores, retail stores, restaurants and IMAX.On March 30, 2008, Louisiana Boardwalk put a curfew in effect. No one under 16 is allowed after 8 p.m. unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Louisiana Boardwalk provides a sales tax refund on purchases up to $500 in cash and over $500 by check. Some recent store openings include Under Armour, Rocket Fizz, Express, Pepper Palace and Dollar Tree. The property boasts some of the best restaurants in the area including Hooters, Joe's Crab Shack, Fuddruckers, Sushiko, Saltgrass Steakhouse and IHOP.After the COVID-19 crisis, customer attendance levels dropped significantly and stores began closing. As of May 2023, many tenants have closed their doors, Nike being the most notable one.

The Regions Tower (Regions Bank), formerly AmSouth Tower and before that the Commercial National Bank tower, is a high-rise in Shreveport, Louisiana in the United States. Standing 365 feet (111 meters) tall and containing 25 floors, it is the tallest building in northern Louisiana. It was built in 1986 as the CNB Tower, adjacent to the bank's older building and connected to it by a common lobby. It is currently owned by Plaza Investments II, LLC and managed by Sealy & Company, Inc. of Shreveport. Facilities include a café and concessions, a shoe shine service, and a fitness facility for tenants only. It also includes a conference facility that seats up to 200.

The Petroleum Tower is a 16-story high-rise office building located at 425 Edwards Street at the corner of Texas Street and Edwards Street in Shreveport, Louisiana. It stands at a height of 187 feet, making it currently the seventh-tallest building in Shreveport. It was completed in 1959, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Shreveport, Louisiana was built in 1896. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. The current structure is the third church, with the first being constructed in 1856 by Fr. Jean Pierre, who became the first pastor. During the city's Yellow Fever epidemic of 1873, Fr. Jean Pierre and his assistant pastor, Fr. Isidore Quemerais, both gave their lives while caring for the sick and dying.The church also became a contributing property of Shreveport Commercial Historic District when its boundaries were increased on April 29, 2015.
