Nythe, Eldene and Liden is a civil parish in the eastern suburbs of the town of Swindon, England. In addition to the residential areas of Nythe (in the north), Eldene and Liden (southwest and southeast), the parish has the Dorcan industrial area.

Day House Lane Stone Circle, also known as Coate Stone Circle, is a stone circle near the hamlet of Coate, now on the southeastern edge of Swindon, in the English county of Wiltshire. The ring was part of a tradition of stone circle construction that spread throughout much of Britain, Ireland, and Brittany during the Late Neolithic and Early Bronze Age, over a period between 3300 and 900 BCE. The purpose of such monuments is unknown, although some archaeologists speculate that the stones represented supernatural entities for the circle's builders. Five partly buried stones remain at the site. A circle of sarsen megaliths, Day House Lane Stone Circle probably had an original diameter of about 69 metres and possibly contained over thirty stones. It was one of at least seven stone circles that are known to have been erected in the area south of Swindon in northern Wiltshire. The earliest known reference to the site was made by the local writer Richard Jefferies in the 1860s. When the antiquarian A. D. Passmore investigated the site during the 1890s he found nine stones, mostly buried. He observed a line of five stones not far from the circle's northern end, suggesting that these were part of a prehistoric avenue connected to the circle; these too no longer existed by the 21st century.

Coate Water (grid reference SU177827) is a country park situated 5 km (3.1 mi) to the southeast of central Swindon, England, near junction 15 of the M4. It takes its name from its main feature, a reservoir originally built to provide water for the Wilts & Berks Canal. Now named 'Coate Water Country Park', the lake and its surroundings are both a leisure facility and a nature reserve.

Its site is next to The Lawn, a public park which was the grounds of a manor house, home of the Goddard family. The first school on this site was Lawn School, which opened in 1964. In 1965, education in Swindon was reorganised and the secondary schools became comprehensive; around this time the school's name was changed to Churchfields School. In 2000 Ofsted judged the school to have serious weaknesses and put it in the category of requiring special measures to improve. In 2004 the school was judged to have improved to Good.In September 2011 it became Churchfields Academy.In May 2017 the school joined the Royal Wootton Bassett Academy Trust, and from September of that year its name became Lawn Manor Academy.

The A420 is a road between Bristol and Oxford in England. Between Swindon and Oxford it is a primary route.
