The Church of St Michael and All Angels on How Hill in Twerton, Bath, Somerset, England was built in the 15th century. It is a Grade II* listed building.

Twerton is a suburb of the city of Bath, Somerset, England, situated to the west of the city, and home to the city's football club, Bath City. Twerton is served by bus route 5, operated by First West of England buses in the Bath area. For a time, there was a duplicate Wessex Connect service, operating under the name Royal Bath. This was discontinued in the summer of 2013. First West of England also operates buses 20A/C (Bath Circulars). Twerton high street houses two pubs (the Old Crown and the Full Moon), a minimarket, McColl's convenience store (containing a Post Office counter formerly Blockbuster, a bakery, a Boots Pharmacy, two learning centres, a volunteering organisation and two hairdressing salons. The Whiteway housing estate is located in the south of the Twerton electoral ward. There is also a community centre at the Quebec Social Centre and a community garden at Hanna Close.

Whiteway is the name given to a housing estate contained within the Southdown and Twerton electoral wards of Bath, Somerset, England. The construction of the estate began shortly before the outbreak of the Second World War. Whiteway falls within the parish of St Barnabas Church at Mount Road, Southdown. Also close by is Southdown Methodist Centre at The Hollow, which provides a range of weekly support services.A number of community resources are situated in Whiteway. The Southside Youth Centre at Kelston View offers activities for teenagers and is home to a boxing club for youth. Also at Kelston View is the entrance to Bath City Farm, which is open to the public and organises the Roots and Shoots pre-school group. The Community Playrangers run play sessions for older children at Bath City Farm. An elderly person's group called Golden-Oldies sings hit songs of the 50s, 60s and 70s in the Blagdon Park community room. The Southside Family Project has an office at St Michael's Road and offers extensive services in the areas of counselling and advice. In December some Whiteway households decorate the exterior of their homes with Christmas lights. Other residents of Bath visit Whiteway to view the display. A PACT (Partners and Communities Together) meeting is held four times a year in the Southdown Ward. This enables residents of Whiteway and Southdown to discuss local issues with Councillors, the police and representatives from other agencies. The time and venue for the PACT meetings are available from a section of the Avon and Somerset Constabulary website. A website called Proud of Twerton, Whiteway and Southdown provides information pertinent to Whiteway, including regular news, articles, and information about local community groups.In August 2010 a resident-led group called Changes organised its first community event in Rosewarn Field, Whiteway. Then in November 2010 the group created a website giving details of its projects and philosophy of community action.

Weston Lock is a canal lock situated on the River Avon, on the western outskirts of Bath, England, in what now forms the Newbridge suburb of Bath. The Bristol Avon Navigation, which runs the 15 miles (24 km) from the Kennet and Avon Canal at Hanham Lock to the Bristol Channel at Avonmouth, was constructed between 1724 and 1727, following legislation passed by Queen Anne, by a company of proprietors and the engineer John Hore of Newbury. The first cargo of 'Deal boards, Pig-Lead and Meal' arrived in Bath in December 1727. The navigation is now administered by the Canal & River Trust. Weston cut is a man-made channel, opened in 1727, for boats to approach and pass through Weston lock, which created an island between the cut and the river weir, which became known as Dutch Island named after the owner of the brass mill established on the river side in the early 18th century.The Dolphin Inn (later becoming the Locksbrook Inn) next to the lock was built for bargees in 1728. It is a Grade II listed building.

Twerton Park is a football stadium in the Twerton suburb of Bath, England. The stadium is named after the surrounding area, Twerton. The stadium has a physical capacity of 8,840 1,006 of which are seats. It has been the home of Bath City F.C. since 1932. From 1986 to 1996 Bristol Rovers played at the ground following their departure from Eastville. From 2020 the ground also became the home stadium for Bristol City Women. The stadium has four stands; the Bath End, the Grandstand, The Popular Side, and the Bristol End. The record attendance of 18,020 was set at a match with Bath versus Brighton & Hove Albion in the FA Cup third round in 1960. The stadium is 2.5 km (1.6 miles) from the city centre. The two bars within the stadium are named after former players: Charlies' (Charlie Fleming), and Randall's (Paul Randall). Twerton Park underwent several expansions in the 1980s, including the addition of the family stand, West of The Grandstand. Future expansion is likely to involve the complete redevelopment of The Grandstand and the surrounding car park.

Bath Newbridge is a proposed new heritage railway station on the outskirts of Bath. It is the proposed southern terminus station of the Avon Valley Railway.

Newbridge is a largely residential electoral ward on the western edge of Bath, England.

Partis College on Newbridge Hill, Bath, Somerset, England, was built as large block of almshouses between 1825 and 1827. It has been designated as a Grade I listed building.It was founded by Ann and Fletcher Partis for women "who had been left in reduced circumstances", and still provides accommodation, in 30 two-storey terraced houses set around three sides of a quadrangle, for women, aged over 50 in membership of the Church of England. Fletcher Partis was a barrister who purchased the land for the almshouses, however he died and the further development was undertaken by his wife.The building is in a Greek Revival style. The main range has 32-bays with a centre piece with an unfluted Ionic portico fronting the chapel. On each side are wings with five apartments and beyond them pavilions. The east and west ranges each have 16 bays.The lodge, walls, gates and gatepiers are also listed buildings.In 1862, George Gilbert Scott redesigned the original chapel, which had been built by Henry Goodridge. In 1929 a new block was added to provide a nursing wing, after funds were given by Dame Violet Wills. In 2015 Right Reverend Peter Hancock the Bishop of Bath and Wells became the patron of the almshouses.

Fairfield House, in Newbridge, Bath, England is a Grade II listed building. It was the residence of Haile Selassie I, Emperor of Ethiopia, during the five years he spent in exile (1936–41). Following his return to Ethiopia, he donated it to the city of Bath in 1958 as a residence for the aged.The Italianate two-storey house was built around 1850, probably by James Wilson, on Kelston Road in the northwest outskirts of the city.The house has significance to the UK Rastafari movement because it was bought in 1936 by Haile Selassie I after the death of the previous owner Mrs Campbell-White, following a short stay at the Bath Spa Hotel, while the house was renovated. He lived in the house with his family and staff for five years. The renovation provided a large double drawing room with two fireplaces, and a dining room with pantry. The rooms for Haile Selassie to meet contacts and supporters included a 'telephone room' or small office and the morning room. There were five principal bedrooms with rooms in the attic for servants. There are numerous accounts of "Haile Selassie I was my next door neighbour" amongst people who were children in the Bath area during his residence.In 1943 it was used as a home for babies evacuated from Chippenham. Haile Selassie gave the house to the City of Bath in 1958 during the visit when he was given the Freedom of the City.Fairfield House was used as a care home until 1993, when new room size requirements made it unsuitable for such use. Since then it has been used as a day centre by a number of groups including the Bath Ethnic Minority Senior Citizens' Association, Age Concern, the Ethiopian Coptic Church and a Rastafari church.In 2014 a community group, Friends of Fairfield House, were negotiating a Community Asset Transfer in order to preserve and develop the house. In 2019 a Community Interest Company was established to support the running of the house as a community asset.

Lettonie was a restaurant owned and run by chef Martin Blunos; it was located in Bristol until 1998 when it relocated to Bath, Somerset. It was awarded a Michelin star in 1992, and a second in 1994; these were held until the restaurant was closed in 2001.

Locksbrook is a light industrial and residential area in the west of Bath, England. It straddles the electoral wards of Newbridge and Kingsmead. Locksbrook lies on the north bank of the River Avon and is, effectively, the area between the river and the former Mangotsfield and Bath railway line. Twerton footbridge (or Fielding's Bridge) crosses the Avon and connects the area with Twerton, replacing an old rope ferry in 1894. Lock number 6, the highest of the Avon River Navigation, is also to be found there.Locksbrook is the location of Locksbrook Cemetery, the resting place of several notable people. In 2016, Bath Spa University purchased the former Herman Miller factory in Locksbrook, a modern riverside listed building designed by Nicholas Grimshaw and Farrell & Grimshaw and built in 1976, to become the new home of the Bath School of Art and Design. The building used a flexible movable panel design and won several awards, including the Financial Times Industrial Architecture Award for 1977 and the RIBA South West Award in 1978. Detailed redevelopment plans are being drawn up in 2017 for it to become the new home of the Bath School of Art and Design.
