Established in 2000, the school served students from kindergarten to Year 12 on four campuses. In 2011 Caroline Springs College council decided to split the four campuses making up Caroline Springs College into separate entities, and the former Caroline Springs campus became Brookside College. Brookside College is a Government P-9 school with around 1026 students (as at February 2016) .

At the time of development, it was one of Melbourne's fastest growing suburbs and Delfin anticipated the population to be in excess of 25,000 people by 2015.The Caroline Springs Post Office opened on 8 August 2005.

Ravenhall is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 20 km (12 mi) west of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Melton local government area. Ravenhall recorded a population of 2,295 at the 2021 census.An outer suburban locality that adjoins the Melbourne metropolitan area, Ravenhall is located south of the Western Freeway and the suburb of Caroline Springs. To the east, outside the City of Melton boundary is the Melbourne suburb of Deer Park. The locality is named after the Ravenhall Munitions Siding, established during World War II. Ravenhall siding was named after George E Ravenhall, a Commonwealth public servant of 46 years in the Defence Department, the Munitions Department and then executive officer of the dangerous cargoes movements section, Department of Supply and Shipping.The nearest railway station to Ravenhall is Caroline Springs, located on Christies Road. As part of the Regional Rail Link project a bridge was built over the railway line on Christies Road to protect the nearby Boral Quarry from being isolated by the tracks. Part of the Regional Rail Link, which branches off from the Robinsons Road level crossing in Deer Park and forms the new section of the Geelong line, runs through Ravenhall. The Metropolitan Remand Centre, a maximum security prison, is located in Ravenhall. Ravenhall Correctional Centre, a medium-security male prison, is also located in Ravenhall. In June 2013, former Governor of the U.S. State of California and actor Arnold Schwarzenegger visited a 24-hour gym in Ravenhall, and was presented with the keys to the City of Melton by Mayor Kathy Majdlik.

Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, formerly the Deer Park Metropolitan Women's Correctional Centre (MWCC) is a maximum security women's prison located at Deer Park, Victoria, Australia. Built in 1996, it was the first privately-owned prison in Victoria, but was transferred to public ownership in 2000 and is now run by Corrections Victoria. It also houses medium security and all protection prisoners.

Ravenhall Correctional Centre is a medium-security male prison currently located in Ravenhall, Victoria, Australia. The prison is able to house over 1300 prisoners, and includes capacity for 75 forensic prisoners. It is Victoria's largest prison. The prison is operated by GEO Group Australia, under contract to the Victorian Government.

The Metropolitan Remand Centre (abbreviated and commonly referred to as MRC) is an Australian prison located at Ravenhall, Victoria, approximately 20 kilometres from the Melbourne CBD on the Western Freeway (Deer Park Bypass). The prison is a maximum security remand facility which opened in April 2006 and is operated by the Victorian Department of Justice and Regulation.The majority of MRC's inmates are held awaiting the outcome of their court case, some inmates have been sentenced and are waiting for appeals to be heard and a small number are sentenced prisoners transferred to free up beds at HM Melbourne Assessment Prison.
