Takadanobaba

Takadanobaba Station (高田馬場駅, Takadanobaba-eki) is a railway station in the Takadanobaba area of Tokyo's Shinjuku ward, situated between the commercial districts of Ikebukuro and Shinjuku. The station is a major commuting hub, linking the Seibu Shinjuku Line, Tokyo Metro Tōzai Line and Yamanote Line. It also serves the surrounding Takadanobaba area, known as a popular student district, and is linked by bus to nearby Waseda University. It is the busiest station on the Seibu Shinjuku Line, and the second-busiest in the Seibu Railway network after Ikebukuro Station. It is the ninth-busiest station in the Tokyo Metro network and the eleventh-busiest station in the JR East network.

Japan Braille Library (日本点字図書館, Nippon Tenji Toshokan) is a special private library in Tokyo, Japan, serving individuals who are unable to read standard printed material, and those who research the field of visual impairment. JBL is one of the biggest and oldest libraries for the blind in Japan. The library's collection includes about 81,000 braille books (23,000 titles), 210,000 talking books (24,000 titles), and various documents concerning the blind and braille. JBL also provides a braille transcription service, a braille printing service, a recording service, digital library services, PC training programs, braille training programs, and sells about 1,200 products for the blind. The library's services now extend beyond Japan, providing braille textbooks and computer training to developing Asian nations.

Tokyo Fuji University (東京富士大学, Tōkyō fuji daigaku) is a private university in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. The predecessor of the school was founded in 1943. It was chartered as a junior college in 1951 and became a four-year college in 2002. In 2008 the Department of Psychology was established.

The Myōshōji River (妙正寺川, Myōshōji-gawa) is designated as a Class A river by the Japanese government with a length of 9.7 km and a basin area of 21.4 km².

Gakushūin University (学習院大学, Gakushūin Daigaku) is a private university in Mejiro, Toshima Ward, Tokyo. It was re-established after World War II as an affiliate of the Gakushūin School Corporation. The privatized successor to the original Gakushūin University (or "Peers School") was established during the Meiji period to educate the children of the Japanese nobility. It is still one of the most prestigious universities in Japan, counting most of the members of the present Imperial Family among its former or present students. The average number of students is capped so that each student can receive personal attention from the staff.

Nishi-waseda Station (西早稲田駅, Nishi-waseda-eki, lit. "West Waseda Station") is a subway station on the Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line, in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan, operated by the Tokyo subway operator Tokyo Metro. Its station number is F-11. The station opened on June 14, 2008.

Tokyo Metropolitan Toyama High School (東京都立戸山高等学校, Tōkyō-toritsu Toyama Kōtōgakkō) is a public day school run by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. The campus is located in Toyama 3-chome, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo. It has been designated as a Super Science High School (SSH) by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT). It has also been designated as part of the Team Medical (TM) project run by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Board of Education (a project where students who wish to go on to medical school form a team).

Shimo-Ochiai Station (下落合駅, Shimo-Ochiai-eki) is a railway station on the Seibu Shinjuku Line in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan, operated by the private railway operator Seibu Railway.

The Gakushūin (学習院) or Peers School (Gakushūin School Corporation), initially known as Gakushūjo, is a Japanese educational institution in Tokyo, originally established to educate the children of Japan's nobility. The original school expanded from its original mandate of educating the royal family and has since become a network of institutions which encompasses preschool through tertiary-level education.

Mejiro (目白) is a residential district of Toshima, Tokyo, Japan, centered at Mejiro Station of Yamanote Line. The district's name is after Mejiro Fudō, which is one of the Goshiki Fudō. Mejiro is home to the prestigious Gakushuin University. The university's predecessor was established in 1877 to educate the children of the nobility. Its notable alumni include most members of the present Imperial House of Japan as well as the 59th Prime Minister of Japan Tarō Asō.
