Gröbenzell station

Gröbenzell is a municipality near Munich in the district Fürstenfeldbruck, in Bavaria, Germany. It was founded in 1952, and has a population of 19,202. Gröbenzell is often called a garden city, which is also illustrated by the two flowers in the coat of arms.

The Langwieder lake district (German: Langwieder Seenplatte) is composed of three lakes west of Munich in Bavaria, Germany. It opened in the year 2000 as a recreational area enclosing the Langwieder See, the Lußsee, and the Birkensee. The entire site spans 120 hectares (297 acres); 40 of which are the lakes and 80 are land; 27 hectares (67 acres) of which are lawns for sunbathing.

Puchheim (Central Bavarian: Buachham) is suburb to Munich in the district of Fürstenfeldbruck, in Bavaria, Germany. It has about 20,000 inhabitants. Puchheim is divided into two parts: the old and rural part called Puchheim-Ort and the new part of Puchheim (Puchheim-Bahnhof) that was founded when the Munich S-Bahn was built. Before that there was one of the first civil airfields in Bavaria, which was later used as a prisoner of war camp during World War I. The area around the camp was dried up by workers from the POW camp, so that houses could be built. The old part of Puchheim is even older than Munich.

Olching Bird Park (German: Birdpark Olching) is located in Olching, 20 km north west of Munich. On an area of 20,000 m2, a wide range of different species can be found: from the little tiger finch to cranes, storks and many brightly coloured parrots. The amazing area of the so-called Amper river is a particular feature that distinguishes the park from others. All aviaries have natural plants which underline the naturalness of the park. A main objective of the park association is the breeding of native birds and a large zone is defined as a retreat for the local wildlife. For the visitors there is also a typical Bavarian beer garden in the park as well as a playground for younger guests. The operator of the bird park is the Bird Lover's Association of Olching.

Aubing-Lochhausen-Langwied (Central Bavarian: Aubing-Lochhausn-Langwied) is the 22nd borough of the German city of Munich. The districts Aubing, Lochhausen and Langwied were incorporated together in 1942, thus forming the largest borough of the city at 3,400 hectares, yet having the lowest density of population with 37,352 residents as of 2002. This large borough still accommodates many vast agricultural and forest areas that together with the Aubinger Lohe and the Langwieder lake district, fulfill the balance of nature in the area and offer recreational facilities to all of western Munich. A large area between Aubing/Neuaubing and Germering on Munich ground of the Freiham district, east of Gut Freiham is currently under development.
