In fall 2018, the college set an enrollment record, bringing in 450 new students for the academic year, totaling 1,103 students on Wilmington's main campus, and 139 students at Wilmington's two Cincinnati branches at Blue Ash and Cincinnati State.

The Rombach Place is a historic house in the city of Wilmington, Ohio, United States. Built in the first third of the nineteenth century, it was home to a family that produced two prominent national politicians. No longer used as a residence, the house is now a museum, and it has been named a historic site.

WALH-LP was a low-power FM broadcasting station licensed to Wilmington, Ohio, at 106.7 MHz, serving Clinton County. It has ceased on air broadcasts after a snafu with the FCC and subsequent death of the principal owner of the radio station. WALH aired live local programming and classic hits as "Wilmington's Greatest Hits" from the 1960s, 70s and 80s since its debut which took place on the web from its online stream on Saturday, June 6, 2015 and on the air on June 8, 2015, at 12 noon local time.Its studios are located at 12 West Main St. in downtown Wilmington which now operates as an online station and is now branded by its website URL.

The Clinton County Courthouse is located at 53 East Main Street in Wilmington, Ohio. The courthouse is included in the Wilmington Commercial Historic District which was added to the National Register on 1982-10-14.

Wilmington is a city in and the county seat of Clinton County, Ohio, United States. The population was 12,664 at the 2020 census. It is the principal city of the Wilmington micropolitan area, which includes all of Clinton County and is part of the greater Cincinnati–Wilmington–Maysville combined statistical area. Home to Wilmington College, founded in 1870 by the Society of Friends, the city and the surrounding area include more than one dozen Quaker meeting houses. The city features a weather forecast office of the National Weather Service, which serves all of Southwestern Ohio and portions of Kentucky and Indiana.

The Main Building School, on Sugartree St. in Wilmington, Ohio, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. It was deemed a "fine example" of High Victorian Italianate architecture. It was opened in 1869 and was in continuous use as a school until 1979. The building may have since been demolished.

Wilmington High School is a public high school in Wilmington, Ohio. It is the only high school in the Wilmington City Schools district. Wilmington High School has been rated excellent on the state report card for the past three years. The athletic department has had recent Ohio High School Athletic Association Division 1 individual state champions in Girls' Golf, Boys' Swimming, and Girls' Track. The Boys Basketball team were among the final four teams in the Division 1 OHSAA State basketball tournament in 2016. In 2008, the Wilmingtones show choir—the show choir at Wilmington High School—was featured on The Rachael Ray Show. The group opened for The Fray. Wilmington High School is home of the Wilmington Marching Band, who has received Superior ratings at the OMEA State Finals in the years 1984, 1990, 2000, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2015. The Marching Band marched at the Magic Kingdom on New Year's Day 2014.
