Bear Creek Dam (Colorado)

Peterson House, also known as Ticen (Tyson) House, in Lakewood, Colorado, USA, was built c. 1885. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981.It was deemed to be historically important as the only surviving early frame structure in the Bear Creek area, and also as the only surviving early structure of the historic Cowan neighborhood of Morrison, Colorado. It has a simplified Victorian vernacular architecture.The historic Pioneer Union Ditch runs through the site.

David S. D'Evelyn Junior/Senior High School (known as D'Evelyn) is a public secondary school near Lakewood, Colorado, United States. It is included in the Jefferson County R-1 public school district. While remaining an open public school without charter or magnet status, D'Evelyn consistently ranks among the top 100 high schools in the US. D’Evelyn’s academic tenets derive from the efforts of a volunteer council to create an "alternative educational environment" in the early 1990s. D’Evelyn’s eponymous founder, David S. D’Evelyn, died in a plane crash before the council's efforts resulted in the successful enactment of the Colorado Charter Schools Act of 1993 and the nascent school secured the "option school" status required to pursue its own academic objectives with a high degree of freedom from the district.

The CDP is a part of the Denver–Aurora–Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population of the Dakota Ridge CDP was 33,892 at the United States Census 2020. In 1988, voters turned down a proposal to incorporate Dakota Ridge. The community lies in ZIP codes 80127 and 80465.

Englewood Federal Detention Center is a federal detention center that is part of a complex of federal prisons in Englewood, Colorado. The complex also includes Englewood FCI and the Englewood Federal Prison Camp. The FDC consists of two units, A and B, each of which has a capacity of about 100 inmates. Inmates are kept physically separated from those in the other unit and are not allowed to communicate with them. This facility has a psychiatric staff that conducts mental health evaluations of defendants who are temporarily transferred in from all over the country pursuant to United States federal laws governing offenders with mental diseases or defects. Nathan Johnson was housed in this facility pending trial for his role in the 2008 Barack Obama assassination scare in Denver.

It is operated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), a division of the United States Department of Justice. The facility also has an administrative detention center and an adjacent satellite prison camp for minimum-security offenders. FCI Englewood is located in unincorporated Jefferson County. FCI Englewood is located off of U.S. Route 285 and Kipling Street, 10 miles (16 km) southwest of Downtown Denver. The facility is named after the city of Englewood, Colorado, and has a Littleton, Colorado, mailing address, but is not in either city.

HeavenFest was an annual Christian music festival attracting tens of thousands of people each summer. The festival was held in multiple cities over the years along the Front Range of Colorado.

Bandimere Speedway, also known in the NHRA as Thunder Mountain, is a quarter-mile dragstrip located just outside Morrison, Colorado and Lakewood, Colorado. It opened in 1958 and hosts the NHRA's Dodge//SRT Mile-High Nationals. The facility has a seating capacity of 23,500 spectators. In April 2023, it was announced that Bandimere Speedway would be closed at the end of the 2023 season, with the intent to move the speedway elsewhere.

Red Rocks Country Club is a private golf and country club located in Jefferson County, just outside Morrison, Colorado in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Challenging course with beautiful views of surrounding foothills and downtown Denver exist from the golf course, clubhouse and restaurant patio.

Chief Colorow's Cave' other wise known as “Willowbrook Amphitheater,” is a cave-like structure composed of Paleozoic Age Fountain Formation sandstone. The top is open to the sky. Willowbrook Amphitheatre is located in the Willowbrook subdivision in Jefferson County, near Morrison, Colorado, south of Red Rocks Park and Red Rocks Amphitheatre. It is located on private land, and is restricted to the use of the association residents for weddings and local events.Colorow's Cafe was named for Chief Colorow who is said to have used the cave along with his band for temporary shelter during his summer visits.
