Proof School is a secondary school in San Francisco that offers a liberal arts education intended for students who love mathematics. The school opened in the fall of 2015 with 45 students in grades 6–10. Currently, 121 students in grades 6–12 are enrolled in Proof School for the academic year (2021-2022).

The Old San Francisco Mint (also Old United States Mint or simply Old Mint, nicknamed The Granite Lady) is a building that served as the location of the San Francisco branch of the United States Mint from 1874 until 1937. Haas also had a tea room on the building's second floor. The Haas Factory Building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). Tongs from the business are collectible. Haas candies were used in a murder by poisoning.George Haas' son R. C. Haas married Corinne Madison, daughter of the head of the California Associated Raisin Company.Members of the Gruenhagen family were involved in the business.

San Francisco School of Digital Filmmaking, also known as the San Francisco Film School and FilmschoolSF, is a private, for-profit vocational film school in San Francisco, California. The school was founded by Stephen Kopels and Jeremiah Birnbaum in 2005 and works in conjunction with Fog City Productions, a local independent production company, to teach students the art and craft of filmmaking. The programs include workshops and a certificate program.

The Westfield San Francisco Centre is an upscale shopping mall located in San Francisco, California, managed by the Westfield Group and co-owned by Westfield and Brookfield Asset Management. It is anchored by Nordstrom and Bloomingdale's, and includes a Century Theatres multiplex and the Downtown Campus of San Francisco State University. It connects directly to the Powell Street station via an underground entrance on the concourse floor.

Powell Street station (often Powell station) is a combined BART and Muni Metro rapid transit station in the Market Street subway. Located under Market Street between 4th Street and 5th Street, it serves the Financial District neighborhood and surrounding areas. The three-level station has a large fare mezzanine level, with separate platform levels for Muni Metro and BART below. The fare mezzanine will also connect to the Union Square/Market Street station when it opens. The Powell-Mason and Powell-Hyde cable car lines turn around at Powell and Market adjacent to the station and Hallidie Plaza. BART service at the station began on November 5, 1973, followed by Muni Metro service on February 18, 1980.

Howard Street is a street in San Francisco's South of Market District (SoMa). It begins after branching off from Van Ness Avenue near the Mission District, and then runs parallel to and between of Mission Street (to the North) and Folsom Street (to the South) towards The Embarcadero. Howard Street has the Moscone Center, Rincon Plaza, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, and The University of San Francisco along its corridor.

Hallidie Plaza is a public square located at the entrance to Powell Street Station (the third-busiest BART station as of 2015) on Market Street in the Union Square area of downtown San Francisco, California, United States. Hallidie Plaza was designed jointly by Lawrence Halprin, John Carl Warnecke, and Mario Ciampi and opened in 1973. In 1997, a perforated stainless steel-screened elevator was added to provide access to the plaza and station for disabled people. Although Powell Street station is one of the busiest stations in the BART system, Hallidie Plaza is relatively underused and has been criticized for its isolation from Market.

The Luggage Store Gallery, also known as 509 Cultural Center, is a non-profit, multi-disciplinary arts organization founded in 1987, and has two venues located in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco, California. The organization has sponsored many local artists, including those that are considered to be part of the Mission School, and of skateboard or street art culture.

The Warfield Theatre, colloquially referred to as The Warfield, is a 2,300-seat music venue located in San Francisco, California. It was built as a vaudeville theater and opened as the Loews Warfield on May 13, 1922.

The Hugo Hotel was a building in San Francisco's South of Market district built in 1909, designed by Theo W. Lenzen. It was located at 200-214 Sixth Street. Gutted by fire in 1988, Hugo Hotel was notable for being held vacant by the owner for 26 years, and for being the site of the Defenestration of Furniture art installation created in 1997 by local artist Brian Goggin.The San Francisco Redevelopment Agency took the owners to court in 2008. In 2009, the building was acquired by the City and County of San Francisco under a rare claim of eminent domain for $4.6 million.It was finally razed in 2015 to make way for affordable housing; in 2017 the Bill Sorro Community, an apartment house for low-income residents was completed at the site.
