One Rincon Hill

Rincon Hill is a neighborhood in San Francisco, California. It is one of San Francisco's many hills, and one of its original "Seven Hills". The relatively compact neighborhood is bounded by Folsom Street to the north, the Embarcadero to the east, Bryant Street on the south, and Essex Street to the west. Named after Rincon Point that formerly extended into the bay there, Rincon Hill is located just south of the Transbay development area, part of the greater South of Market area. The hill is about 100 feet (30 m) tall. Following the California Gold Rush, Rincon Hill was built up as a fashionable and prestigious residential neighborhood. After it was destroyed by the 1906 earthquake and fire, the neighborhood was slow to rebuild and largely became an industrial area with small factories and warehouses. In 1985, and revised in 2005, the area was rezoned into a high-density residential neighborhood designed to house up to 10,000 new residents in close proximity to the city's Financial District.

The Maritime Hall is a historic 3,000-capacity concert hall in San Francisco's South of Market neighborhood that operated from 1995 through 2001 as a popular music venue and nightclub. It was located at 450 Harrison Street (at First Street) at the Sailors Union of the Pacific building.

It remained an active blacksmith shop within multiple generations of the same family, from 1912 until 2017.It has been listed by the city as a San Francisco Designated Landmark since 1992. The building also has a historical marker, erected in 2005 by Capitulus Redivivus Verba Buena.

The Schmidt Lithography Co. Clock Tower, built in San Francisco in 1921, was once headquarters to the Max Schmidt Lithography Company, once the largest printing company on the West Coast. The Clock Tower's building occupies two blocks at Second and Bryant Streets and was rumored to have once housed handball and volleyball courts, roof gardens, and a hospital for the Lithography Company.The Clock Tower was built adjoining an older building on the property; the Lithography plant covered an area of 181 by 252 feet on Second Street. The Clock Tower stands at 170 feet tall.The future of the tower was jeopardized by the building of the Bay Bridge Viaduct in the 1930s, but ultimately prevailed to stand in its original location of 461 Second Street, where it is located today. Because of the preservation and the tower's identifiable characteristics, it has become a landmark as the official "timepiece of Rincon hill".
