Parkdale High School (PHS) is a public high school located in Riverdale Park, Maryland, United States. It is part of the Prince George's County Public Schools system. Enrollment was 2,354 students in grades nine through twelve as of 2020. Parkdale High School serves: portions of Riverdale Park and East Riverdale, all of Woodlawn, and the majority of New Carrollton.It hosts an International Baccalaureate (IB) magnet program.

The Marenka House is a historic house at 7300 Radcliffe Drive in College Park, Maryland. Built in 1958, it is a distinctive local example of Modern Movement architecture. It is a single-story brick structure in a basically rectangular form, with a broad low-pitch gabled roof. It has projecting gable sections to the north and south, and an integrated garage. The front projecting gable has floor-to-ceiling windows in its center, and a deep projecting eave. Although its architect is unknown, it is considered one of the area's finest Mid-Century Modern houses, an application of Frank Lloyd Wright's principles of organic architecture.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017.

Elizabeth Seton High School is a private, all-girls Roman Catholic high school in Bladensburg, Maryland, United States. It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington. Elizabeth Seton High School was established on March 15, 1957, and opened with an enrollment of 138 freshmen and a faculty of six Daughters of Charity in September 1959. As early as 1965, the Maryland State Department of Education issued a Certificate of Approval to the school and in 1968 the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools accredited Elizabeth Seton High School. Elizabeth Seton was named one of 10 private schools of distinction by The Washington Post in 2005.

Capital Plaza Mall (the region now known as simply Capital Plaza) was a shopping mall located at the intersection of Annapolis Road (Maryland Route 450) and the Baltimore–Washington Parkway in Landover Hills, Maryland. It was built between 1961 and 1963, as a regional shopping center to serve the Bladensburg and Landover area of suburban Washington, D.C. The mall was a major attraction in Prince George's County, until its slow decline that began in the 1970s. This continued until the mall's closure in 2005, and ultimately its demolition in 2007. Part of the grounds are now occupied by a Wal-Mart store.

Landover Hills is a town in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States. Per the 2020 census, the population was 1,815. The town has a neighborhood named Defense Heights.
