The Joint Global Change Research Institute (JGCRI) is a research institute established in 2001 through a collaboration between the University of Maryland, College Park, and the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. The primary objective of the institute is to employ interdisciplinary approaches in climate change research.

The Anacostia Tributary Trail System (ATTS) is a unified and signed system of stream valley trails joining trails along the Anacostia tributaries of Northwest Branch, Northeast Branch, Indian Creek and Paint Branch with a trail along the Anacostia River, set aside and maintained by the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, D.C. ATTS is a part of the East Coast Greenway, a 3,000-mile-long system of trails connecting Maine to Florida and the American Discovery Trail, a trail system stretching from the Delaware coast to San Francisco.

Hebert Wells Ice Arena is a 600-seat plus ice arena in College Park, Maryland, USA. Herbert Wells Ice Rink is open for ice skating seasonally, from October through March. This ice skating facility includes the rink, an indoor warming room and party room, and a snack bar.

Riverdale Park–Kenilworth is a light rail station that is currently under construction. It will be part of the Purple Line in Maryland. The station will be located southeast of the intersection of East West Highway and Kenilworth Avenue.

The Junior Tennis Champions Center (JTCC) is a tennis training center and preparatory school in College Park, Maryland. Founded in 1999, JTCC trains junior, collegiate and professional tennis players. The center hosts United States Tennis Association (USTA) and International Tennis Federation (ITF) Junior World Tour events, and serves as the training center for the University of Maryland's women's tennis team.The center has 17 outdoor courts and 15 indoor courts, including hardcourts, Har-Tru courts, and red clay courts.

Riverdale Park, formerly known and often referred to as Riverdale, is a semi-urban town in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States, a suburb in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. The population was 6,955 as of the 2010 U.S. Census. The population as of 2019 is approximately 7,304, according to the US Census Bureau and other entities.

The Marenka House is a historic house at 7300 Radcliffe Drive in College Park, Maryland. Built in 1958, it is a distinctive local example of Modern Movement architecture. It is a single-story brick structure in a basically rectangular form, with a broad low-pitch gabled roof. It has projecting gable sections to the north and south, and an integrated garage. The front projecting gable has floor-to-ceiling windows in its center, and a deep projecting eave. Although its architect is unknown, it is considered one of the area's finest Mid-Century Modern houses, an application of Frank Lloyd Wright's principles of organic architecture.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017.

Paint Branch is a 17.0-mile-long (27.4 km) tributary stream of the Anacostia River that flows Southeastwards through Montgomery County and Prince George's County, Maryland. Specifically, its primary tributary is of the Northeast Branch, which flows to the Anacostia River, Potomac River and the Chesapeake Bay. The beginning elevation of the stream is 480 feet above sea level and it subsequently drops to 30 feet when its flows meet the Indian Creek in College Park, Maryland.The headwaters of Paint Branch are located near Spencerville (about 11.5 miles (18.5 km) north of Washington, D.C.) and the stream flows south for 14 miles (23 km) to its confluence with the Northeast Branch. The watershed area is 20.8 square miles (54 km2) and includes portions of the communities of Spencerville, Cloverly, Fairland, Colesville, White Oak and College Park, Maryland.

College Park–University of Maryland station is a Washington Metro station in Prince George's County, Maryland, on the Green Line. It also serves MARC's Camden Line, though only select trains stop at the station. The station is located in College Park near the University of Maryland, College Park, with entrances at the intersection of Calvert Road and Bowdoin Avenue, and near the intersection of Paint Branch Parkway and River Road. It adjoins the headquarters of the American Physical Society and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This station is planned to be served by the light rail Purple Line, under construction as of 2023.

College Park Airport (IATA: CGS, ICAO: KCGS, FAA LID: CGS) is a public airport located in the City of College Park, in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States. It is the world's oldest continuously operated airport. The airport is located south of Paint Branch and Lake Artemesia, east of U.S. Route 1 and the College Park Metro/MARC station and west of Kenilworth Avenue.
