The Kerala Government Secretariat (Malayalam: Saṁsthāna Sarkkār Sirākēndraṁ) is the seat of administration of the Government of Kerala, in Thiruvananthapuram, housing important ministries and bureaucratic offices. It is the highest echelon of state administrative structure offering locus for the exercise of executive authority by the State Government of Kerala. The secretariat refers to the complex of departments. Its political heads are the ministers while the administrative heads are the Secretaries to the Government. The Government Secretariat is a popular landmark and located in heart of the Thiruvananthapuram City, in Narmada Road. The Secretariat complex was originally constructed as Durbar Hall for Travancore Kingdom.

Beemapally is a region within the city of Thiruvananthapuram in the state of Kerala, India. Beemapally is famous for its mosque, Beemapally Dargah Shareef, which houses the tomb of Syedunnisa Beema Beevi, a woman believed to have divine powers, and her son Syedu Shuhada Maheen Abubacker. Every year there is a festival held to venerate Beema Beevi which attracts thousands of pilgrims from all faiths and castes. The tomb of Beema Beevi, the lady with miraculous powers who is believed to belong to the Prophet Mohammed’s family, is located at the mosque.

The Institute of Human Resources Development (IHRD) is an autonomous technical educational research institute established by the Government of Kerala in 1987, with its headquarters at Thiruvananthapuram in India. IHRD has grown within a short period into a network of more than 50 institutions. Gandhari Amman Kovil is a Hindu temple located at Mele Thampanoor, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. Gandhari amman is the principal deity in this temple. There are other small temples of Ganesha, Nagaraj and Manthramurthi are located in this temple complex. Chithra poornima is the main festival in this temple. This festival is celebrated in the month of May. This kovil is located 1.5 km from Thiruvananthapuram central Railway Station, Thampanoor.

Government College for Women, Thiruvananthapuram is a public college situated in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. Established in 1864 by Ayilyam Thirunal, the Maharaja of Travancore, it is one of the oldest women's colleges in Kerala. Initially affiliated to University of Madras, it is currently under University of Kerala.

Sree Dharma Sastha Temple is situated at Thycaud in Thiruvananthapuram City near to Govt. Model School and Govt. Arts College, Kerala, India. Connemara market is situated at Palayam junction in Thiruvananthapuram city, in the state of Kerala, India. The recently renovated Market has merged with the Saphalyam Complex adjacent to it. The Palayam Market was established during 1857, when Sri Uthradom Thirunal was the Maharja of Travancore mainly to supply day to day essential commodities to the Army. The Arched Gate of the Market was built subsequently and was inaugurated by Sir Robert Bourke, 1st Baron Connemara, Governor of Madras Presidency , when he visited Thiruvananthapuram during 1888. In his honour, the market was then named as "Connemara Market".

Karamana is a suburb of Thiruvananthapuram (formerly and often still known as Trivandrum), the capital city of Kerala, India. Ayiroor (also : Ayroor) is a suburb of Varkala Town in Thiruvananthapuram district in the state of Kerala, India. It is situated 4.6 km (2.9 mi) north-east of Varkala Town along State Highway 64. The headquarters of Elakamon Panchayat is situated in Ayiroor.This village is famous for its temples namely Anjumurthy temple, Palaninnapoyka Subramanyaswamy temple, Valiyaveetil Bhadrakali Temple, Ayiravilly temple, Thrimballur temple, and Kochu Thampuratty temple. These temples are famous for their yearly festivals conducted in between the month of January to March. The name 'Ayiroor' itself originates from 'Anjumurthy', which means five idols. Ayiroor is on the banks of the river Ayiroorpuzha, one of the smallest rivers in Kerala after Manjeshwaram puzha. On the south-west side of this village passes the Thiruvananthapuram-Shoranur Canal. Educational institutions include Ayiroor Anganwadi, Government Upper Primary School, Government Higher Secondary School Palayamkunnu and Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Model School. There are a few private hospitals. Varkala-Ayiroor-Parippally and Varkala-Ayiroor-Paravoor roads pass through this village. The people of Ayiroor are generally employed in the service sector. A large proportion of them work outside India. There are a few cashew nut factories in this village. The nearest railway station is in Varkala. The village has three post offices and one telephone exchange.
