Kerala Gazetted Officers' Association (KGOA) is a prominent left-leaning service organization in the state of Kerala, India, that represents the Gazetted Officers of the state civil service. Founded in 1966, the organization consists of professionals like Engineers, Physicians, Veterinary Surgeons, Agricultural Officers, Scientific & Technical officers, Administrators, and Ministerial officers. Approximately 22,000 out of the 35,000 Gazetted Officers in service in the state are members of KGOA.

University College, Thiruvananthapuram (UCT) is a constituent college of the University of Kerala, based primarily in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of the Indian state of Kerala.

Beemapally is a region within the city of Thiruvananthapuram in the state of Kerala, India. Beemapally is famous for its mosque, Beemapally Dargah Shareef, which houses the tomb of Syedunnisa Beema Beevi, a woman believed to have divine powers, and her son Syedu Shuhada Maheen Abubacker. Every year there is a festival held to venerate Beema Beevi which attracts thousands of pilgrims from all faiths and castes. The tomb of Beema Beevi, the lady with miraculous powers who is believed to belong to the Prophet Mohammed’s family, is located at the mosque.

Connemara market is situated at Palayam junction in Thiruvananthapuram city, in the state of Kerala, India. The recently renovated Market has merged with the Saphalyam Complex adjacent to it. The Palayam Market was established during 1857, when Sri Uthradom Thirunal was the Maharja of Travancore mainly to supply day to day essential commodities to the Army. The Arched Gate of the Market was built subsequently and was inaugurated by Sir Robert Bourke, 1st Baron Connemara, Governor of Madras Presidency , when he visited Thiruvananthapuram during 1888. In his honour, the market was then named as "Connemara Market".

The St. Mary, Queen of Peace Basilica, located in the Palayam/Cantonment area of the city of Thiruvananthapuram, in the state of Kerala, India, is the first Syro-Malankara Catholic Church to be elevated to the rank of a Catholic basilica. It is the fifth basilica in Kerala. On 10 November 2008, at the St. Mary's Cathedral, Pattom, Trivandrum, Leonardo Sandri, Papal representative and Cardinal Prefect of the Congregation for the Oriental Churches, announced the designation of the Queen of Peace Pro-Cathedral in Thiruvananthapuram as a basilica. Major Archbishop Moran Mor Baselios Cleemis Catholicos dedicated the church as the St. Mary, Queen of Peace Basilica on 7 December 2008. Kerala Minister for Law, Sports and Youth Affairs M. Vijayakumar presided over a meeting that followed.

Alamcode is area of Attingal, a northern suburb of Trivandrum, the largest city and capital of the state of Kerala, India. Karamana is a suburb of Thiruvananthapuram (formerly and often still known as Trivandrum), the capital city of Kerala, India. Ayiroor (also : Ayroor) is a suburb of Varkala Town in Thiruvananthapuram district in the state of Kerala, India. It is situated 4.6 km (2.9 mi) north-east of Varkala Town along State Highway 64. The headquarters of Elakamon Panchayat is situated in Ayiroor.This village is famous for its temples namely Anjumurthy temple, Palaninnapoyka Subramanyaswamy temple, Valiyaveetil Bhadrakali Temple, Ayiravilly temple, Thrimballur temple, and Kochu Thampuratty temple. These temples are famous for their yearly festivals conducted in between the month of January to March. The name 'Ayiroor' itself originates from 'Anjumurthy', which means five idols. Ayiroor is on the banks of the river Ayiroorpuzha, one of the smallest rivers in Kerala after Manjeshwaram puzha. On the south-west side of this village passes the Thiruvananthapuram-Shoranur Canal. Educational institutions include Ayiroor Anganwadi, Government Upper Primary School, Government Higher Secondary School Palayamkunnu and Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Model School. There are a few private hospitals. Varkala-Ayiroor-Parippally and Varkala-Ayiroor-Paravoor roads pass through this village. The people of Ayiroor are generally employed in the service sector. A large proportion of them work outside India. There are a few cashew nut factories in this village. The nearest railway station is in Varkala. The village has three post offices and one telephone exchange.
