Dudley, Tyne and Wear

Annitsford is a village located in North Tyneside, on the border between Tyne and Wear and Northumberland. The main conurbation of the village falls under the jurisdiction of the Borough of North Tyneside in Tyne and Wear.

The first station in the area opened in 1860 as Dudley and served Dudley Colliery and the village of Dudley in North Tyneside, England. It was located on the East Coast Main Line to the north of Newcastle upon Tyne. In 1874 it was renamed Dudley Colliery before becoming Annitsford in April 1878. On 8 July 1878 the station was closed and replaced with a second station 352 yards south of the first station. The railway station was located in Dudley but was named after the nearby village of Annitsford, to avoid confusion with another Dudley in the Midlands.

Stonelaw County Middle School was a middle school in Cramlington, Northumberland, England, normally referred to as Stonelaw. Operating under the three-tier system in Northumberland, the school had an intake of pupils aged 10–13. The school was closed when Cramlington Learning Village opened in 2008. The school had extended classrooms in the form of a Science Laboratory, an Art Room and a Music and Drama Room, all taught by teachers specialising in that subject. The school also had the use of the Sporting Club fields for PE and Games. The school itself was one block instead of multiple blocks of buildings. The final headmaster before closure was Mr Andrew Youngs and the acting deputy was Mr Doug Moore.

Cramlington Learning Village, formerly Cramlington Community High School, is a large high school with academy status in Cramlington, Northumberland, England; it is a comprehensive school of around 2100 students. The school became an 11–18 school in September 2008 as part of a local authority reorganisation of education in the town which saw the former three-tier system, of first, middle and high schools, become a two-tier system of primary and secondary schools. The school takes students aged 11 to 18 years, the latter two school years in the Sixth Form.

Burradon is a village in Tyne and Wear, England, to the north of Newcastle upon Tyne. It is adjacent to Camperdown and the two villages are closely linked. Camperdown was once known as Hazlerigge.

Arcot Hall Grasslands and Ponds is the name given to a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) near Cramlington in Northumberland, England, notable as the largest lowland species-rich grassland in North East England. The site is composed of grassland, heath, ponds, and associated damp habitats now rare in Northumberland.

Seaton Valley is a civil parish at the south eastern corner of Northumberland, and northern North Tyneside, consisting of five villages lying between Cramlington, Blyth and Whitley Bay. The largest village is Seaton Delaval, while Seaton Sluice is on the coast; the other three are Seghill, New Hartley, and Seaton Burn (which is in North Tyneside) It takes its name from the stream Seaton Burn, a small river which flows through the area. It was preceded by the Seaton Valley Urban District which existed until 1974, but has different boundaries; the urban district contained Cramlington, but did not contain Seaton Sluice which was then part of Borough of Whitley Bay. Cramlington is a town and civil parish in Northumberland, England, 6 miles (9.7 kilometres) north of Newcastle upon Tyne, and 10 miles (16 kilometres) north of its city centre. The name suggests a probable founding by the Danes or Anglo-Saxons. The population was 29,405 as of 2011 census data from Northumberland County Council. It sits on the border between Northumberland and North Tyneside with the traffic interchange at Moor Farm, Annitsford, linking the two areas. The area of East Cramlington lies east of the A189, on the B1326 road that connects the town to Seaton Delaval.

Beaconhill is a housing estate in Northumberland, in England. It is in the west of Cramlington, north of Newcastle upon Tyne. It is served by a primary school.

Burradon Tower is a ruinous tower house at Burradon, North Tyneside, England which is both a Scheduled Ancient Monument and a Grade II listed building. The Manor of Burradon was acquired by John Orde in 1441 when due to the devastation wrought by the Scots and the poor quality of the soil it was valued at only 20 shillings a year. The tower, originally a three storeyed single square bay, was probably built about 1553 by Bertram Anderson, a nephew of Orde. The property passed in 1569 to the Ogle family by whom it was extended and improved. A fireplace bears the date 1633 and the initials LO, thought to represent Lancelot Ogle who was resident at that time. Following the marriage of Jane Ogle to her cousin James Ogle of Causey Park House the tower was abandoned and by 1769 it was reported to be derelict. In the 19th century the structure was incorporated into a farm building.

North Gosforth Academy is a co-educational secondary school located in Seaton Burn, Tyne and Wear, England. It has a specialism in business and enterprise. In 2018 it became a member of Gosforth Federated Academies.North Gosforth Academy offers GCSEs, BTECs and Cambridge Nationals as programmes of study for pupils.
