WPZS (100.9 FM) is an Urban Gospel music station located in Charlotte, North Carolina but licensed to Indian Trail. The station is currently owned & operated by Urban One. It carries the syndicated Yolanda Adams Morning Show. The station's studios are located in Southwest Charlotte near Carowinds, and the transmitter site is in Matthews near the intersection of NC 51 and Monroe Road.

Rosedale, also known as Frew's Folly, is a historic plantation house located at Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. It was built about 1815, and is a Federal style frame dwelling. It consists of a 2+1⁄2-story, three bay by two bay, central block flanked by 1+1⁄2-story wings. It is sheathed in molded weatherboard and rests on a stone basement. Each section has a gable roof. The central block is flanked by exterior brick chimneys.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.The restored house and gardens are open to the public.

Old North Charlotte is a neighborhood in Charlotte, North Carolina. Old North Charlotte, contrary to its name, comprises a large section of the city's east side. Old North Charlotte is one of Charlotte's oldest neighborhoods and can trace its history back to the early 1880s when Mecklenburg's economy was still heavily reliant on the textile industry. As a result many former mill buildings dot the landscape of the area which is home to Charlotte's arts district, North Davidson, or "NoDa". Following World War II Old North Charlotte was much like any of the other mill towns throughout the piedmont region. Workers lived in similar looking company-owned homes on what was then the northern edge of Charlotte (this is how the area gets its name). In 1975 Old North Charlotte was home to the city's last surviving textile mill, Johnston Mill, which would cease operations soon thereafter. After this the area was plunged into a home of widespread poverty and crime, most notably prostitution. The 1990s saw the success of an effort led by community figures such as church leaders to clean up the area; in doing so the area became more attractive to development due to its location close to Uptown Charlotte.

Originally founded to be the steward of the 1774 Alexander Rock House, the museum has since expanded its scope to cover all periods of Charlotte's history with exhibits covering everything from the history of music in the city to the experiences of soldiers from Charlotte during the 1st World War.

Originally built by the Alexander Family who finished construction in 1774, the Rock House and its various outbuildings have had many owners over the years with The Charlotte Museum of History being its steward today.

The station consists of a single island platform in the street's median, connected to an adjacent parking garage by a pedestrian overpass. The parking garage charges a flat weekday fee for all riders that do not have a one-day, weekly or monthly pass. Notable places nearby include the Belgate Shopping Center, IKEA and the Wells Fargo Customer Information Center (CIC). The station opened on March 16, 2018.
