Bergeggi (Ligurian: Berzezzi) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Savona in the Italian region Liguria, located about 90 kilometres (56 mi) southwest of Genoa and about 10 kilometres (6 mi) southwest of Savona.

Vado Ligure (Ligurian: Voæ), in antiquity Vada Sabatia, is a town and comune in the province of Savona, Liguria, in northern Italy.

Villa Zanelli is a historical building located in Savona, Liguria, Italy. The building is an example of the Liberty style of residential architecture (a variant of Art Nouveau most commonly found in Italy), and was completed in 1907 for the Zanelli family. Designed by the architect Gottardo Gussoni from Turin, it is close to the Tyrrhenian Sea beach in the Legino district of Savona.

MT Haven, formerly Amoco Milford Haven, was a VLCC (very large crude carrier), leased to Troodos Shipping (a company run by Loucas Haji-Ioannou and his son Stelios Haji-Ioannou). In 1991, while loaded with 144,000 tonnes (1 million barrels) of crude oil, the ship exploded, caught fire and sank off the coast of Genoa, Italy, killing six Cypriot crew and flooding the Mediterranean with up to 50,000 tonnes of crude oil. It broke in two and sank after burning for three days.

SS Transylvania was a British passenger liner of the Anchor Line, a subsidiary of the Cunard Line and a sister ship to SS Tuscania. She was torpedoed and sunk on 4 May 1917 by the German U-boat SM U-63 at 44°15′N 8°30′E while carrying Allied troops to Egypt and sank with a loss of 412 lives.

Savona railway station (Italian: Stazione di Savona) serves the seaport and comune of Savona, in the Liguria region, northwestern Italy. Opened in 1977, it forms part of the Genoa–Ventimiglia railway, and is situated just over one quarter of the way from Genoa towards Ventimiglia. It is also the western terminus of the Turin–Fossano–Savona railway. The station is currently managed by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI). However, the commercial area of the passenger building is managed by Centostazioni. Train services to and from the station are operated by Trenitalia. Each of these companies is a subsidiary of Ferrovie dello Stato (FS), Italy's state-owned rail company.

Montenotte was a department of the First French Empire in present-day Italy. It was named after the village Montenotte near Savona to commemorate the Battle of Montenotte in 1796. It was formed in 1805, when the Ligurian Republic (formerly the Republic of Genoa) was annexed directly to France. Its capital was Savona. The department was disbanded after the defeat of Napoleon in 1814. It was followed by a brief restoration of the Ligurian Republic, but at the Congress of Vienna the old territory of Genoa was awarded to the Kingdom of Sardinia. Its territory is now divided between the Italian provinces of Savona, Alessandria, Imperia and Cuneo.

Quiliano (Ligurian: Cuggen) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Savona in the Italian region Liguria, located about 45 kilometres (28 mi) southwest of Genoa and about 5 kilometres (3 mi) west of Savona. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 7,225 and an area of 49.5 square kilometres (19.1 sq mi). The municipality of Quiliano contains these frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) : Cadibona, astride the watershed between the Alps and Apennines, Valleggia, Montagna, Roviasca, Faia and Tiassano. In the environs of Quiliano remain several Roman archaeological sites: a Roman bridge still functions in the valley of Quazzola and remains of a Roman villa may be seen at San Pietro in Carpignano. Quiliano borders the following municipalities: Altare, Mallare, Orco Feglino, Savona, Vado Ligure, and Vezzi Portio.

The Priamar Fortress (Italian: Fortezza del Priamar) is a fortress occupying the hill with the same name above the port of Savona, Liguria, northern Italy.

Savona (Italian: [saˈvoːna] ; Ligurian: Sann-a [ˈsaŋːa]) is a seaport and comune in the west part of the northern Italian region of Liguria, capital of the Province of Savona, in the Riviera di Ponente on the Mediterranean Sea. Savona is the main center of the Italian Riviera. One of the most celebrated former inhabitants of Savona was the navigator Christopher Columbus, who farmed land in the area while chronicling his journeys. 'Columbus's house', a cottage situated in the Savona hills, lay between vegetable crops and fruit trees. It is one of several residences in Liguria associated with Columbus.

Savona Cathedral (Italian: Duomo di Savona, Cattedrale dell'Assunta) is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Savona, Liguria, Italy, dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. Formerly the episcopal seat of the Diocese of Savona, since 1986 it has been the seat of the Bishops of Savona-Noli.
