Visconti Castle (Abbiategrasso)

Abbiategrasso, formerly written Abbiate Grasso (local Lombard: Biegrass [bjeˈɡras]; Milanese: Biaa [ˈbjaː]), is a comune and town in the Metropolitan City of Milan, Lombardy, northern Italy, situated in the Po valley approximately 22 kilometres (14 miles) from Milan and 38 kilometres (24 miles) from Pavia.

Mivar (Milano Vichi Arredi Razionali, formerly standing for Milano Vichi Apparecchi Radio, and previously trading as Radio VAR), was an Italian factory of consumer electronics and furniture. The brand has since been relaunched by the owner's heirs (see below).

Morimondo Abbey (Italian: Abbazia di Morimondo) is a former Cistercian monastery located at Morimondo, a few kilometers south of Abbiategrasso in the Metropolitan City of Milan, Lombardy, northern Italy. The surviving structure is Romanesque and Gothic. It was founded in 1134 as a daughter house of Morimond Abbey near Dijon, from which it took its name (meaning "die to the world").

Vermezzo con Zelo is a comune (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Milan in the Italian region Lombardy. It was established on 8 February 2019 by the merger of the municipalities of Vermezzo and Zelo Surrigone.

Zelo Surrigone (Milanese: Zel) is a comune (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Milan in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 15 kilometres (9 mi) southwest of Milan. The church of Santa Giuliana (1418) has frescoes from the 15th and 16th centuries.

The Palazzo Brentano is a late Baroque palace on Vicolo del Ghiaccio in the town of Corbetta located in the Metropolitan City of Milan in the Italian region of Lombardy. The present larger palace at the site was designed by Francesco Croce. It was commissioned by Giuseppe Brentano, who had been made by the Austrian authorities, the Count of Caltignaga in 1715. A smaller but noble house had been owned by the Marquis Ferrante Villani Novati, and the property sold to Count Brentani in 1731. To enhance the prestige of this newly-minted aristocrat, he commissioned this more grandiose villa in the 1730s, and decoration continued until 1750, employing a number of artists who had been employed in the decoration of Palazzo Casati Dugnani and Palazzo Clerici in Milan, including Giovanni Antonio Cucchi (who painted the Apotheosis of Hercules in the central hall); Giovanni Angelo Borroni and Mattia Bortoloni; Ferdinando Porta (who painted the Marriage of Cupid and Psyche in the main hall); and Giovanni Battista Sassi.The Brentano family sold the palace in 1839. After a series of owners, the palace came to be property of tha Somaschi order in 1935. First a seminary, the palace now functions as a children's school.
