Shaker Creek is a stream in the U.S. state of Ohio. The 8.7-mile (14.0 km) long stream empties into Dicks Creek.Shaker Creek was so named after the Shakers who settled near it. The area around Shaker Creek once formed a wetland called Shaker Swamp; the latter was drained and the land reclaimed.

Monroe is a city in east central Butler and west central Warren counties in the southwestern part of the U.S. state of Ohio. The population was 15,412 at the 2020 census. Monroe is a part of the Cincinnati metropolitan area.

King of Kings (also referred to as Touchdown Jesus) was a 62-foot (19 m) tall statue of Jesus on the east side of Interstate 75 at the Solid Rock Church, a 4000+ member Christian megachurch near Monroe, Ohio, in the United States. It was destroyed by a lightning strike and subsequent fire on June 14, 2010. Located on the interstate-facing side of the church's outdoor amphitheater, the statue was set on an island at the head of the church's baptismal pool, flanked by fountains and lit by colored spotlights. It depicted Jesus from the chest up, with his arms and head raised to the sky. The statue had a 42-foot (13 m) span between its upraised hands and a 40-foot (12 m) Christian cross at its base. The completed statue weighed 16,000 pounds (7,000 kg). A replacement statue, called Lux Mundi, was assembled and dedicated on the site in September 2012.

Lux Mundi (Latin for "Light of the World") is a 52-foot (15.8 m) tall statue of Jesus at Solid Rock Church, a Christian nondenominational church near Monroe, Ohio, in the United States. Designed by Tom Tsuchiya, Lux Mundi replaced the statue King of Kings which was struck by lightning and destroyed by fire in 2010.

Blue Ball is a community in Butler and Warren counties, in the U.S. state of Ohio. The community was established in 1820 at the intersection of the Dixie Highway (later U.S. Route 25). Blue Ball was annexed by nearby Middletown in 1994.Blue Ball was so named because that image appeared on its tavern's signboard for the benefit of the illiterate.

Miami Valley Gaming is a harness racing track and casino (a "racino") in Turtlecreek Township, Ohio. It opened in 2013 as a replacement for Lebanon Raceway, located in nearby Lebanon. The track conducts seasonal live racing on Friday and Saturday nights as well as Sunday, Monday and Tuesday afternoons. The track offers simulcasting from North American harness tracks seven days a week. After Governor John Kasich approved video lottery terminals at Ohio racetracks in 2011, a joint venture of Churchill Downs Inc. and Delaware North Companies agreed in March 2012 to buy Lebanon Raceway from the Nixon and Carlo families for $60 million, and planned to transfer its license to a new $215-million racino to be built several miles away. The purchase was completed in December 2012. The casino at the new location opened on December 12, 2013. In 2017, Miami Valley Gaming spent $5 million on expansion, adding new patio and high limit areas.In November 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic in Ohio, the Miami Valley Gaming announced that they would change their operating hours due to the statewide curfew imposed by Governor Mike DeWine.

Life Skills Center of Middletown is an alternative high school in Middletown, Ohio, United States, operated by LifeSkills' which operates schools in several U.S. states. Life Skills offers an online curriculum designed to help students earn a high school diploma. The school is designed to allow students to be employed full-time or do volunteer work while in high school.

Lemon Township is one of thirteen townships in Butler County, Ohio, United States. Located in the northeastern part of the county, it includes most of the city of Monroe. It had a population of 16,885 at the 2020 census. It is the only Lemon Township statewide.

Middletown is a city located in Butler and Warren counties in the southwestern part of the U.S. state of Ohio. The population as of the 2020 census was 50,987. It is part of the Cincinnati metropolitan area, located 29 miles (47 km) northeast of Cincinnati and 20 miles (32 km) southwest of Dayton.Formerly in Lemon, Turtlecreek, and Franklin townships, Middletown was incorporated by the Ohio General Assembly on February 11, 1833, and became a city in 1886. The city was the home of AK Steel Holding Corporation (formerly Armco), a major steel works founded in 1900. Although offices were moved to nearby West Chester Township in 2007, the AK Steel factory is still in Middletown. Middletown is also home to Hook Field Municipal Airport (airport code MWO), which was formerly served by commercial airlines but is currently only for general aviation. A regional campus of Miami University is located in Middletown. In 1957, Middletown was designated as an All-America City.

The Warren Correctional Institution is a prison operated by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction in Warren County's Turtlecreek Township in Lebanon, Ohio. The prison, which opened in 1989, sits on 45 acres (182,000 m2) of land, part of the purchase made by the state after the closure of the Shaker settlement at Union Village in 1912. It is immediately west of another state prison, the Lebanon Correctional Institution. As of 2005, it has a staff of 415 and houses 1,037 inmates, about evenly divided between blacks and whites. Most of the inmates are in "close" security, the middle designation in Ohio's system. The 2005 budget is $28,249,395 and the annual cost per inmate is $25,378.
