Buckhead Historic District

Buckhead is a town in Morgan County, Georgia, United States. As of the 2020 census, the town had a population of 194.

The John O'Flaherty House, also known as The Rock House, at 1000 Oconee Road in Buckhead, Morgan County, Georgia, was built in 1896. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991. It is a Georgian cottage in style. The house is unusual for its building materials. It is built of granite blocks, while most houses in Georgia were either wood frame or brick. Its inside is lined with curly pine. The listing included a second contributing building and a contributing site as well.

Swords is an unincorporated community in Morgan County, in the U.S. state of Georgia.

Manning Gin Farm is a historic agricultural property located approximately half a mile southeast of Bethlehem in Barrow County, Georgia. The site comprises a late 19th- and early 20th-century farm complex featuring a circa 1887 I-house, a circa 1905 cotton gin, and a variety of outbuildings from the farm’s historic operations. The property occupies approximately 15 acres and retains a largely rural setting. The farm was established in the late 1800s and operated by the Manning family until 1945. Crops grown on the farm included cotton, corn, wheat, and oats.

The Apalachee River is a 74-mile-long (119 km) tributary of the Oconee River in the U.S. state of Georgia. It rises north of Lawrenceville in eastern Gwinnett County and flows southeast to join the Oconee River in Lake Oconee west of Greensboro. It is spanned by the Kilgore Mill Covered Bridge.

The Wilson–Finney–Land House, at 1750 Bethany Rd. in Morgan County, Georgia near Madison, Georgia, was built in 1805. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.It was the main house of cotton plantation having more than 3,500 acres (14 km2). The listing also includes a garage and several contributing objects. The main house was built as an I-house by James Wilson around 1805. It was later owned and lived in by Abraham McAfee, who was a captain in the local militia and was the second sheriff of Morgan County. A later owner named James Finney added Greek Revival and Italianate features to the house, including the front door surround and decorative brackets supporting the eaves. A later owner, Cincinnatus Land, added Craftsman details, including a wraparound porch with square columns on brick piers.It was deemed "significant in the area of architecture as an excellent example of a house that has evolved over time to meet the needs of its occupants and the changing architectural styles."

The Bruce Weiner Microcar Museum was a museum in Madison, Georgia, United States, that held a large collection of microcars. The museum was created by Bruce Weiner, an executive of Dubble Bubble, who collected microcars as a hobby.The entire collection was auctioned off February 15–16, 2013. The top selling price was for Lot 603, a 1958 F.M.R. Tg 500 'Tiger' that sold for $322,000.

The Morgan County School District is a public school district in Morgan County, Georgia, United States, based in Madison. It serves the communities of Bostwick, Buckhead, Madison, and Rutledge.

The Morgan County Courthouse in Madison, Georgia is the third courthouse built for Morgan County. The first courthouse was built on the town square in 1809. The second courthouse was built in 1845 and was destroyed by fire in 1916. The current courthouse was constructed in 1904 to 1905. It was designed in the Beaux Arts style and features a portico entrance on the corner. It was renovated in 2005.It was designed by J. S. Golucke and Company and built by the Winder Lumber Company. It was described as being "distinguished by a pronounced, enriched entablature, limestone lintels, sills and string courses, giant order Corinthian or Composite columns and a large, domed cupola".
