Kallithea

The Tactual Museum of Athens is a museum for the visually impaired in Kallithea, Athens, Greece. It was founded in 1984 by the Kallithea-based association Lighthouse for the Blind of Greece to allow visually impaired people to become familiarised with the cultural heritage of Greece. The museum exhibits copies of original artifacts displayed in other Greek museums that may be touched by all visitors. These include exhibits of the Mycenaean, Geometric, Archaic, Classical, Hellenistic and Roman periods. There are also exhibits from the Byzantine era and works of art from visually impaired people. The museum is open on weekdays from 08:00 to 16:00, and on weekends after making the necessary arrangements with the museum's management.

The Eugenides Foundation (Greek: Ίδρυμα Ευγενίδου) is Greek private educational foundation. It was established in 1956 in Athens, Greece implementing the will of the late Greek benefactor Eugenios Eugenidis, who died in April 1954. The activity of the foundation, in accordance with its articles of association, is to contribute to the scientific and technological education of young people in Greece. The foundation is administered by a committee of three persons, which is participated by each professor which is elected as a rector of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) until the end of his term as a rector. For its multifaceted contribution to Greek society, Eugenides Foundation was honored in December 1965 with the gold medal of the Academy of Athens.

Kallithea (Greek: Καλλιθέα) is an Athens Metro Line 1 station, located in the municipality of Kallithea in the regional unit of South Athens, Attica and is also named after, 5.558 km from Piraeus. It is located in by the boundary with Kallithea. The station was first opened on 1 July 1928 and was renovated in 2004. The station contains two platforms. Its nearest station is 600 metres (2,000 ft) to the east.

Sivitanideios School of Arts and Crafts is a public school in Athens, Greece. It is run jointly by the Ministry of Education (Greece) and the Greek Ministry of Labour's Manpower Employment Organisation of Greece (OAED).The school first opened in 1926, and works on the building began after 1921, with money donated to the Greek state by Vassilis Sivitanidis, a Greek Cypriot merchant living in Alexandria, Egypt. It was meant to be a school comparable to France's École nationale supérieure d'arts et métiers (today called Arts et Métiers ParisTech), as its benefactor, Mr Sivitanidis, had stated in his will.

Nea Smyrni Stadium (Greek: Στάδιο Νέας Σμύρνης) is a multi-purpose stadium in Nea Smyrni, Greece. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Panionios, which plays for the Gamma Ethniki. The all seated stadium holds 11,700 spectators and was built in 1939. Before full seating was installed in 1998 for the participation of Panionios in the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup its capacity was close to 19,000. The stadium is eligible to host UEFA Europa League matches and its football pitch dimensions are about average at 105x72m.

Tavros, officially Tavros–Eleftherios Venizelos (Greek: Ταύρος–Ελευθέριος Βενιζέλος) is a station on Line 1 of the Athens Metro, 6.171 km from the line's southern terminus at Piraeus. It is located in the municipality of Tavros in the regional unit of South Athens, Attica, near the boundary with Kallithea. The station is also known as Tavros-Eleftherios Venizelou, after the former Prime Minister Eleftherios Venizelos.

The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) (Greek: Κέντρο Πολιτισμού Ίδρυμα Σταύρος Νιάρχος (ΚΠΙΣΝ)) is a complex in the bay of Faliro in Athens which includes new facilities for the National Library of Greece (NLG) and the Greek National Opera (GNO), as well as the 210,000 m2 (2,300,000 sq ft) Stavros Niarchos Park. The center was designed by architect Renzo Piano and its construction was funded by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. The $861 million project was completed in 2016, and was donated to the Greek state in 2017.

Harokopio University of Athens, HUA (Greek: Χαροκόπειο Πανεπιστήμιο) is a public research university based in Kallithea, Athens, Greece. Founded in 1990, the 18th state University established in Greece, as the successor of the Harokopios Higher School of Home Economics (Greek: Χαροκόπειος Ανωτάτη Σχολή) that was established in 1929. The university has ever since expanded to further scientific areas awarding bachelor's, master's, as well as doctoral degrees. Its small size, with about 120 academic and research staff, 80 administration personnel and 1000 undergraduate students, makes it a flexible academic institution.

The Athens School of Fine Arts (ASFA; Greek: Ανωτάτη Σχολή Καλών Τεχνών, ΑΣΚΤ, literally: Highest School of Fine Arts), is Greece's premier Art school whose main objective is to develop the artistic talents of its students.

Xypete (Ancient Greek: Ξυπέτη or Ξυπετῆ), also Xypeteum or Xypeteon (Ξυπετεών), was said to have been likewise called Troja (Τροία), because Teucrus led from hence an Attic colony into Phrygia, was a deme of ancient Attica. It was apparently near Peiraeeus or Phalerum, since Xypete, Peiraeeus, Phalerum, and Thymoetadae formed the τετράκωμοι, which had a temple of Heracles in common (τετράκωμον Ἡρακλεῖον).The site of Xypete is tentatively located northeast of Peiraieus.

The Faliro Sports Pavilion Arena, which is part of the Faliro Coastal Zone Olympic Complex, is an indoor arena in the suburban town of Palaio Faliro, Greece. It is nicknamed "The Little Peace And Friendship Stadium", due to its similarity in design and close proximity to the Peace and Friendship Stadium. It was the site of the 2004 Athens Summer Olympics preliminary matches of handball, as well as the taekwondo competition. The arena seats 8,536 for handball matches of 2004 Olympics, though only 3,836 seats were made publicly available during the Olympics.
