Krum Kill

Academy of the Holy Names, or AHN, in Albany, New York, United States, is an independent, Middle States accredited Catholic girls' college-preparatory school for girls in grades 6–12. It is located within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany. The school was founded in 1884 by the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary. The mission of AHN is to prepare its students to become cultural, intellectual, moral, and spiritual leaders. Current enrollment for the 2021–2022 school year is 196 students.

The Albert Slingerland House is a historic home located at Slingerlands in Albany County, New York. It was built about 1840 and is a 2-story, frame Greek Revival–style dwelling. It consists of a 2-story, gable-front main block with a 1+1⁄2-story side ell with a projecting porch. Also on the property are two 2-story frame barns dated to about 1840 and a brick smoke house.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

Slingerland home at 1575 New Scotland Road. It is located immediately west of Delmar and near the New Scotland town-line and south of the Albany city-limits, and is thus a suburb of Albany. The Slingerlands ZIP Code (12159) includes parts of the towns of New Scotland and Guilderland.

The U.S. Post Office in Delmar, New York is located on Delaware Avenue (NY 443) in the middle of the hamlet. It serves the 12054 ZIP Code, covering Delmar and its surrounding area. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. To date it is the only current post office in Albany County on the Register.It is a small brick building constructed in 1939, near the end of the Great Depression. Louis A. Simon, the Treasury Department's supervising architect at that time, designed 13 total post offices for New York in the Colonial Revival style similar to Delmar's. But that one was the only one from whose design he omitted a cupola. The lobby is decorated with a mural auspices, showing a scene of the Indian Ladder at nearby John Boyd Thacher State Park.

Delmar is a hamlet in the Town of Bethlehem, in Albany County, New York, United States. It is a suburb of the neighboring city of Albany. The community is bisected by NY Route 443 (Delaware Avenue), a major thoroughfare, main street, and route to Albany. A census-designated place (CDP) has been established since 1980 by the U.S. Census Bureau for tabulating the population of what the census has defined as the boundaries of the urbanized area in and around Delmar. The population was 8,292 at the 2000 census, but it was not included as a CDP in the 2010 census.In 2005, CNN/Money Magazine named the Delmar ZIP Code (an area larger than the Delmar hamlet or CDP) as one of the "Best Places to Live" in America, rating it the 22nd best place to live among what it called "Great American Towns."

McKownville is a hamlet in the town of Guilderland, Albany County, New York, United States. It lies along the eastern border of the town with the city of Albany. McKownville is a heavily developed suburb of Albany and is home to many strip malls, shopping centers, and a portion of the University at Albany, SUNY and is bisected by U.S. Route 20 (Western Avenue). McKownville is named for John McKown and family, early settlers from the late 18th century.

Hurstville is a former hamlet in the town of Bethlehem, New York. Today it is part of the city of Albany. Hurstville was located in the area of a bend in the Albany, Rensselaerville, and Schoharie Turnpike (today New Scotland Avenue) at its intersections with Whitehall and Krumkill roads, just outside the city limits of Albany.

LaGrange Farmstead is a historic home located at Slingerlands in Albany County, New York. It is a frame dwelling that encompasses five phases of construction. The oldest section was built about 1780 and the second about 1790. Construction in 1835 yielded the 1+1⁄2-story kitchen and wood shed addition. A 1+1⁄2-story, shed-roofed addition on the north side was completed about 1860. The final addition was completed about 1985. Also on the property are two heavy frame barns dated to about 1835 and 1879 and a frame corn crib.The land on which the Farmstead stands was originally settled in the early 1700s by Omie de LaGrange and his brother Isaac near the Normanskill. The last LaGrange owner of the land was Ella LaGrange McBride. It passed out of the family in 1956.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

Elsmere is a hamlet of the town of the Bethlehem in Albany County, New York, United States. The hamlet is a suburb of the neighboring city of Albany. From the northeast to the southwest, it is bisected by New York Route 443 (Delaware Avenue), which is also the hamlet's main street and a major commuter route into Albany. Delaware Avenue is also home to most of the office and retail locations in Elsmere, including the largest such location: Delaware Plaza. Elsmere does not have its own Post Office nor Zip Code, instead sharing with neighboring hamlet of Delmar. All locations in Elsmere use Delmar 12054 as the official address city and Zip Code.

Stuyvesant Plaza is an upscale shopping plaza and office complex located in the Albany suburb of Guilderland, on Western Avenue (US 20), near the south end of the Adirondack Northway. The shopping portion in its current incarnation features shops like Pottery Barn, Talbots, and White House/Black Market. The complex includes a number of high and low rise office buildings near the shopping center. The shopping plaza opened in 1959, making it the third oldest in the Capital Region, after Latham Corners Shopping Center in 1957.
