Alex Farm Pastures is a 4.5-hectare (11-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest south of Shadoxhurst in Kent.This site has unimproved neutral grassland, which is a nationally rare habitat. Some of it has been lost to scrub, but in other areas it is maintained by rabbit grazing. There are several uncommon butterflies, including the nationally scarce pearl-bordered fritillary and small pearl-bordered fritillary.The site is private land with no public access.

Shadoxhurst () is a civil parish and a village on the remnant forest the Kent Weald, near Ashford in Kent, England between the Greensand Ridge and Romney Marsh.

Stone Wood is a nature reserve south-west of Shadoxhurst in Kent. It is managed by Kent Wildlife Trust (KWT).This site was clear felled in 1992 and left to regenerate naturally. The KWT acquired it in 2002 and is encouraging native plants and animals to occupy it.There is access from a public footpath which runs along the western side, but there are no footpaths in the site.

The Royal Military Canal Path is a long-distance path in England, mainly following the Royal Military Canal. Its end points are Seabrook, Kent (51.0720°N 1.1221°E / 51.0720; 1.1221 (Royal Military Canal Path, Seabrook terminus)), and Pett Level, East Sussex (50.8887°N 0.6840°E / 50.8887; 0.6840 (Royal Military Canal Path, Pett Level terminus)), and it runs for 27 miles (43 km). It is a canal-side path and fringes the northern edge of Romney Marsh. The canal is an early-19th-century defence against a possible invasion by Napoleon, and it is a Scheduled Ancient Monument and a SSSI. Links are made with the Saxon Shore Way at Appledore and West Hythe.

Orlestone () is a mid-sized civil parish in Ashford District, Kent, England, with a population of 1,593. The centre of the parish is Hamstreet village which falls almost entirely within it but has a small fraction in the parish of Warehorne. The civil parish here reflects the very longstanding dominance of Orlestreet as its ecclesiastical parish boundary and provides a third alternative to most residents of Hamstreet to their village name, other than 'Ham Street'. Hamstreet is bypassed by the A2070 road, six miles south of Ashford.

Hamstreet is a village in Kent, in South East England. The village is located 6 miles (10 km) south of Ashford on the A2070, the main road between Ashford and Hastings. The majority of the village is in the parish of Orlestone, named after a much older hamlet located 1 mile north of Hamstreet on the ridge of hills; however, part of the village falls within the parish of Warehorne, including the significant Ingoldsby Lane / Pippins development, giving a total population of 1,988 which will have increased since the 2021 census. The parish church, dedicated to the Good Shepherd [1] Archived 26 February 2008 at the Wayback Machine, is now a shared Anglican/Methodist building, and the parish churches of Orlestone, Snave (now a redundant church), Ruckinge, Warehorne and Kenardington are all within the traditional benefice which was expanded to form the new Saxon Shore benefice along with Bilsington, Bonnington and Aldington.

Ruckinge is a village and civil parish in south Kent centred 5.5 miles (8.9 km) south of Ashford on the B2067 Hamstreet to Hythe road, with two settled neighbourhoods. It is, broadly defined, a narrow, fairly large rural parish of land which is about one quarter woodland.

Kennington Football Club is a football club based in the Kennington suburb of Ashford in Kent, England. They are currently members of the Southern Counties East League Premier Division and play at Ashford United's Homelands ground in nearby Kingsnorth.
